As of 2020 the Magma Local no longer exists and its work is now served by the regular M-PXTU. This video was shot towards the end of its run when the train primarily carried Autoracks as freight.
Locomotives:
UP 7415
UP 7662
Original description from 2019:
UP 7415 and UP 7662 lead a Magma Local train at Extension Rd in Mesa, AZ. What's up with the Magma Locals lately? This train had one centerbeam and the rest of the cars were empty autoracks, but this is not the first time this has happened. All around the Phoenix Sub, people have been catching these trains with most of their cars being autoracks. Why is that?

UP 1338
Original description from 2019:
Now that summer break is here, I have plenty of time to experiment with some new spots! Today's Kyrene Local had fifteen cars, which makes it the second-longest Kyrene Local I have ever caught. Shot at the busy intersection of Elliot and Kyrene Rd, where the train cuts right through the middle and blocks all four directions of traffic. Why nobody seems to know this place exists?
Original description from 2019:
Yesterday I got word of a freight train on the Phoenix Sub and happened to be around the Tempe area. I headed to the 1st st crossing that the UP shares with the light rail and filmed a few of the light rails before the freight train showed up with UP 8941 on point (If you want to see some people go through the crossing, skip to 0:50. You can also hear a man yelling at them from his car).
Train 1:
UP 8941 leads a slow Manifest train and meets a light rail. (2:37)
Locomotives:
UP 8941
UP 7278
Locomotives:
UP 1394
Original description from 2019:
A compilation of Union Pacific 1394 on the Kyrene Local. Shot on 11-7-2019.
Catch 1: UP 1394 leads the Kyrene Local long-hood-forward at the crossing on Ray Rd. (0:17)
Catch 2: UP 1394 leads the Kyrene Local long-hood-forward going under the 202 at 56th St. The train gives me a horn salute that kind of sounds like a Shave and a Haircut. (1:22)
Catch 3: UP 1394 heads back up with its train at 56th St. It's kind of far away, but if you look closely you can see the engineer hold a water bottle out the window. The train stops for me while I run over there and catch it. (2:50)
The last railfanning video shot with my old camera (mom's old phone). Type F in chat to pay respects.

UP 5111
Original description from 2018:
A train I caught today. UP 5970 and UP 5111 Lead a somewhat short Manifest through Gilbert, AZ.
The first of many of my Kyrene Local videos. No, I wasn't the first to film it here.
Locomotives:
UP 1377 (Unit received a fresh coat of paint in 2019)
Original description from 2018:
I had received word of a train that comes from around 3 to 5 o'clock in this location. Finally, I have caught it, and it turns out to be a locomotive I have caught before on my UP 1996 video! How funny. I may be the first person to ever catch a train in this very spot! Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

"I think it's safe to say that I have caught more Kyrene Locals on video than any other railfan." This title now belongs to Back Alley Railroading.
Locomotives:
UP 689
Original description from 2019:
Only UP 689 leads today's Kyrene Local. This is my third one this week and I think it's safe to say that I have probably caught more Kyrene Locals on video than any other railfan.
