Hiking Tai Mo Shan 大帽山 via Ng Tung Chai Waterfall
Just a few days before we left Hong Kong, we decided to go on one last hike. Tai Mo Shan was the one I was saving for last. Hiking to Tai Mo Shan via Ng Tung Chai took much longer than expected, over 4 hours in the end, but the journey is worth it. The waterfalls were some of the most amazing I've seen in Hong Kong.
In the video, I mentioned hearing lightning. My GoPro died before I was able to make it to the bottom, so part of the adventure wasn't captured. As we were hiking down, the storm moved directly over us. We saw flashes of lightning in the upper cloud layers, luckily nothing seemed to be striking the mountain around us. I've been VERY close to lightning strikes in Malaysia before, and its not something I'm keen on experiencing again. Anyway, as we got to the bottom back to the main road, right when we got under the cover of a bus stop, the rain came pouring down. We were incredibly fortunate to have missed it.
Because we came down so late, we ended up calling a taxi to take us back to Tsuen Wan, and then took the MTR the rest of the way back home.

As I was walking along the coast, I found a couple more pill boxes that might not be as abandoned as I thought.

I wish I could spend every evening at a Night Market! Unfortunately, with our tight schedule, there was only one evening we could spare to make it one of Ipoh's many incredible night markets.
If you ever are in Ipoh, check out some more information on locations and times for other Ipoh night markets: https://www.travelswithsun.com/ipoh-night-market/
There are so many different foods to try, and so many that we didn't get to try!
My friend recorded vlogs as well. Check out Karinna's Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOoe_PVk1wct_jvV_q8KRkA
