Today I review the Marantz Professional MPM-2000. This is a perfectly decent sounding mic, but honestly you can get an equivalent or better sounding microphone for cheaper. Additionally, I point out some SHADY information I discovered about Marantz Professional’s specification sheets that makes me not want to recommend their microphones. If you want to ignore all this though, I’ll still add the links below.

Today I review the Lauten Audio LS208, an end address condenser microphone for podcasting and broadcasting. It offers impressive side and rear rejection (for a condenser), as well as multiple high pass and low pass filters to tailor the sound to fit your voice. The mic does tend to be a bit on the sibilant side, suffer from less than optimal plosive rejection, all while being a bit quiet for a condensers (-46dB sensitivity).

Today I review the Presonus PD-70, a budget podcast broadcast microphone that slightly resembles the SM7b. This mic is built like an absolute tank, and it does a great job at background noise rejection. It is more of a top heavy sounding microphone with a little bit of graininess to the sound and you’ll most likely need to do a bit of post processing for long form spoken word content.

Today we’re looking at the budget usb microphone titled "TONOR USB Microphone Kit Q9 Condenser Computer Cardioid Mic for Podcast, Game, YouTube Video, Stream, Recording Music, Voice Over”. This is a USB microphone that records 16-bit, 48kHz, lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, has a high noise floor, and picks up a lot of background noise. If you just need something for conferences or chats, it’ll be fine, but I think there are FAR better options around the same price.

It's labor day so I wanted to take it a little easier, and being that I like E.D.C. or Everyday Carry, I figured I'd update my EDC on this channel. After all, the last time I uploaded this type of video on this channel was 5 years ago. This is not an audio related video it's about what I use on a daily basis and why I use each item.

Today I review a microphone from one of my favorite mics of all time, the AEA KU5a. This is a super cardioid active ribbon microphone that gives you that great ribbon sound without the issue of requiring a super powerful preamp.
