Baby rabbits are very fragile and it can be tough to take them in and keep them alive. So far this year we have only lost one (a baby that was injured by a cat), but all the others are making it and thriving! Well done, Susan, well done!

We had two days in the upper 60's this week, which melted all the ice on the pond. Sonya wasted no time getting in and splashing around!!

What IS that? Hahha, it’s Maddy! That was funny enough, but then Susan explained that the heavy snorting and snuffling you hear is not the bear being videoed...(well not until later)...that is Jenny who was pestering Susan for the piece of bread Susan was TRYING to eat while filming Maddy laying out in the pasture. Susan ultimately gave her the piece of bread to the determined ursine so she could finish her video. Jenny=1 Susan=0

Today Susan released four Red Squirrels. Susan says that this little family of squirrels was a real joy to raise. So much personality. She is going to miss these guys, but it’s time for them to take to the woods.

There can not be a better way to end a tumultuous year than with a video of Amy in her swing. Peace and love. #bear #syrian #brown #black #swing #newyear

From Susan: This is the box their big toy came in over the winter. I saved it so I could make a video. Finally I got to it today. Kimmy came right over but didn’t have much interest in it so I went looking to see what was taking Rosie so long to get there. When I got back Kimmy had smashed it and I didn’t have it on film. Rosie finally showed up and demolished it.
