Still Report #520 - Microsoft Warns IE Users – Danger!
To become Partner #459: www.billstill.com, then Click "Subscribe”.

According to a story yesterday in the Daily Express, a London newspaper, Microsoft is warning all Internet Explorer users to seek out and either destroy or update ALL pre-version 11 copies of Internet Explorer even if you are using Chrome or other browsers regularly.
Why? Because Microsoft has ended support for almost all versions of the venerable web browser as of Tuesday.
Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 will no longer receive the latest patches and security updates, leaving them extremely vulnerable to malware attacks.
A few days ago, Microsoft warned that all users should immediately update to IE version 11 to ensure protection.
But on Tuesday, they added a new warning that all Windows users have to update – even if they are not actively using Internet Explorer. Why? Because there are many components of IE that are still actively attached to the OS, even if IE isn’t open.
Therefore, applications other than IE can call on IE components to execute malware scripts.
Although the upgrade to IE v. 11 is free on the Microsoft site, internal research has shown that 75% of users will not upgrade in time to be covered.
I’m still reporting from Washington. Good Day.
