In this series, we'll be designing a business intelligence dashboard using React and the Google Charts API.
In the first lesson, we'll quickly get our environment up and running with Webpack and create-react-app, and then dive right into the code. We will use an asynchronous function to "preload" the Google Charts API, then create and populate the DataTable, before moving on to drawing a TableChart using ChartWrapper in the next video.
Have you ever wanted to see what your crypto holdings are worth right now, in one simple spreadsheet? I'll show you how to do just that in 6 lines of code.
In Part 1 of this multipart tutorial series, we'll create a custom function in Google Sheets, take a look at the documentation for Binance, talk about some of the tools, like Postman, that can help code for an API much more efficiently, and discuss some of the ways a simple "Get average price of Coin X" function can be used.
**Additional tutorials (coming soon):**
* Part 2: Adding the Bittrex and Coinbase APIs to Google Sheets
* Part 3: Expanding beyond the "Get Spot Price" endpoint
* Part 4: Whether to code in Google Sheets, or migrate to Node and React (and Mongo)
* Part 5: Authenticating to access personal wallet balances
* Part 6: Exploring placing trades via API
