In Movie Review TV (Episode 42), Aldwyn Altuney & Michael Thompson review
Hotel Mumbai.
The 2018 biographical thriller film (released in Australia and USA in 2019) is inspired by the 2009 documentary Surviving Mumbai about the Mumbai attacks in 2008 at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India.
Terror strikes in the heart of Mumbai, India, as members of Lashkar-e-Taiba storm the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in a series of co-ordinated attacks throughout the city.
Amid the gunfire and mayhem, a brave chef and kitchen worker decide to risk their own lives to try and protect the frightened guests.
As the militants continue their assault on the hotel, a desperate couple must do whatever they can to protect their newborn baby.
Directed by Anthony Maras and written by John Collee and Maras. It stars Dev Patel, Armie Hammer and Nazanin Boniadi.
Hotel Mumbai has grossed $15.7 million worldwide.
Movie Review TV is an online TV show where Gold Coast film industry experts Michael Thompson and Aldwyn Altuney review all sorts of movies.
This is a fun show where we give our opinions on movies we have seen over a red wine or two. That’s why the show is also known as Red Wine Reviews.
Now that At the Movies with Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton ended on ABC TV in Australia in 2014, we think it’s time another show came out sharing a male and female perspective on movies.
We hope you enjoy our banter. Michael Thompson is a Gold Coast actor who has been in the film industry for about 10 years. He is teaming up with Aldwyn Altuney (aka 'Media Queen’), who has interviewed stars and celebrities in the entertainment industry about their craft and what really goes on behind the scenes in the creative industries.
Aldwyn is based on the Gold Coast, Australia, and has 35 years media experience in TV, radio, print and film. She is also an actress in TV commercials and films, emcee, international keynote and corporate speaker on How to Gain $1M of Free Publicity and Share your Message with the Masses and is a best-selling author of multiple books.
The Photojournalist, director of AA Xpose Media and founder of Animal Action Events is passionate about helping people live inspired lives and decreasing depression by promoting positive ‘good news’ stories in the mass media.
She loves the work of English writer David Icke, who is waking the world up by ‘exposing the dreamworld we believe to be real’.
Through her Animal Action Events, she inspires compassionate action for the humane treatment of animals worldwide. See http://www.aaxpose.com

In Truth Xpose TV (Episode 11), Aldwyn Altuney interviews Gold Coast spiritual healer/ performer Walter Smith who is helping to support Lakota Native American warriors of ancient times who currently have their land threatened and treaties broken by corporations over the Standing Rock pipeline in North Dakota.
Ceremonial sites are being bulldozed right now and the massive $3.8 billion Dakota Access oil pipeline is being forcefully put into this sacred land.
The Dakota Access pipeline is proposed to transport light crude oil from the North Dakota Bakken region through South Dakota and Iowa into Illinois. It is about 1172 miles (1886km), 30-inch diameter pipeline which is proposed to go through 50 counties in four states.
It will transport about 470,000 to 570,000 barrels per day or more – which could represent about half of Bakken current daily crude oil production.
The pipeline is ear-marked to go under The Missouri River - the longest river in North America at 3767km.
Locals derive all their water supply from this river.
“If the pipeline leaks, it will kill flora and fauna and pollute all life in the area as the pipes are destined to break down based on historical evidence,” Walter said.
The Missouri River rises in the Rocky Mountains of western Montana and flows east and south for 2341 miles before entering the Mississippi River north of St. Louis, Missouri.
The river takes drainage from a sparsely populated, semi-arid watershed of more than half a million square miles, which includes parts of 10 US states and two Canadian provinces. When combined with the lower Mississippi River, it forms the world's fourth longest river system.
In a Facebook live stream on September 5, 2016, at 6.20am, local activist Tim Black said from the Standing Rock Reservation Sacred Stone Camp, “Water defenders and other peaceful protestors were pepper sprayed and bit by dogs of a private security firm hired by companies invested in the Dakota Access pipeline.”
In a recent news article, a Standing Rock Sioux Chairman said the Dakota Access Pipeline was ‘threatening the lives of my tribe’.
The story says: “In North Dakota, indigenous activists are continuing to protest the proposed $3.8 billion Dakota Access pipeline, which they say would threaten to contaminate the Missouri River. More than 1000 indigenous activists from dozens of different tribes across the country have travelled to the Sacred Stone Spirit Camp, which was launched on April 1 by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The protests have so far shut down construction along parts of the pipeline. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe has also sued the US Army Corps of Engineers over its approval of the pipeline.”
The PR spin from a corporation behind the move, Energy Transfer, is:
