Recuerde cómo se dice que alguien o algo es mejor que otro con la forma comparativo de good:
better + than cosa/persona comparada
Why does Alf always win at tennis? - ¿Por qué siempre gana Alf al tenis?
Because he is better than Rod. - Porque (él) es mejor que Rod.
And he´s better than you, too. - Y (él) también es mejor que tú.
Para decir que alguien es mejor que otro en una actividad concreta se puede utilizar la forma -ing:
better at + actividad + than + persona comparada
I'm better at skiing than you. - Soy mejor jugando que tú esquiando.
He's better at singing than her. - (Él) es mejor que ella cantando.
We're better at football than them. - Somos mejores jugando que ellos al fútbol.
También se puede decir que se es mejor en una actividad que en otra:
better at + actividad + than + actividad comparada
I'm better at golf than tennis. - Soy mejor al golf que al tenis.
She's better at singing than dancing. - (Ella) es mejor cantando que bailando.
They are better at football than at golf. - Son mejores al fútbol que al golf.
Y pueden usarse los verbos like y enjoy para mostrar preferencia por una cosa frente a otra:
like/enjoy + actividad + better + than + actividad comparada
I like painting better than reading. - Me gusta pintar más que leer.
She likes eating better than cooking. - (A ella) le gusta comer más que cocinar.
He enjoys sleeping better than working. - (Él) disfruta más durmiendo que trabajando.
