My fishing room is always trashed! Trying to keep my fishing gear organized!
VLOG # 6 trying to stay organized there is not whole lot of going on but work needs to be done. Time to get at it! Only to trash my garage next time I go fishing and do it all over again! I will clean this place up, put all my rods and reels away, organize all my tackle boxes, make sure lures are put back where they belong and re rig all my gear only to have to do it all over again next week!

Sight Fishing for Bass - Smallmouth Bass Bed Fishing in Wisconsin
In this video I am up in Wisconsin on an inland lake doing some fishing for Smallmouth Bass. I have fished this area for years and because it was somewhat of a windy day decided to head to a smaller lake to see what the fish are doing! The water temperature was around 58 degrees and the water was somewhat clear. There was a few males up on the beds so I decided to target them and just used the trolling motor looking for beds. I used a variety of baits from drop shoting a Gajo Spirit Shad to flipping a creature bait.
It was a good start to my trip back in Wisconsin and it is always fun hitting up these local lakes!

Unboxing Fishing Tackle, Delivery of Keitech soft plastic baits for bass and some other tackle!
So in this video Unboxing Tackle I got an order of Keitech Baits and cannot wait to start throwing them! I guarantee they are going to help put some bass in the boat this year. I got a few of Keitech Baits to try out and put them to the test. Of course I got the usual Keitech Swimbaits since my collections was getting pretty low. I went with some of the 3.8 Keitech Swing Impact Fat Keitechs in Electric Shad and Green Pumpkin. I also got some 2.8 Keitechs which work great for throwing them on a small jighead and slowly reeling it back. The Keitech 2.8 work great for Big Smallmouth Bass and I have even caught some good Largemouth on them. The smaller profile of the bait allows it to mimic a smaller baitfish like perch or shad. I sometimes will drift these behind the boat and slowly work it on a drop shot, as well. The large Keitech 3.8 I throw on an underspin or straight jig head. I have also used a swimbait hook and texas rigged these Keitech Baits before and have done real well when fishing them through grass.
I also received a few of the Keitech Crazy Flapper 3.6. I like to throw the Baby Brushhog at times and this bait seems like it could be a goo replacement and give the bass something different to look at. It seems to have great action and is very finesse like. Keitech makes some larger sizes as well and they would be great for pitching and flipping in heavy cover. They have a really great scent to them and the action of the Keitech Crazy Flapper is unreal! I also will be throwing this on a pivot head and feel that this presentation might be the best combination I have seen thus far!
I also got a few of the Keitech Baits Mono Spin Jig and this jig is a great finesse jig for when the conditions get real tough or highly pressured bodies of water. The Keitech Mono Spin jig sizes I received are 1/8 and 1/16 ounce. They are going to excel when the hair jig bite is on and will give the fish a different look. I plan to use the Keitech Little Spider 2" Trailer on the Mono Spin Jig and got a few of the Spiders in an assortment of different colors to try.
I also got a few of the Keitech Worms and look forward to throwing them on the drop shot and shakey head. These baits have a great action under water and will work great around the bass spawn and off shore when the fish tend to go deep.
Keitech also makes a variety of tungsten jig heads so I got a few in a football head, round ball and a round ball with a weed guard. I plan to pair these up with the Keitech 3.8 and 2.8. I also think I may have found my new favorite Flick Shake head. This thing is tiny compared

Brian and myself head up to the St Lawrence River with Will from Gajo Baits and catch a bunch of cold water walleyes and smallmouth bass. It was a great fishing adventure that had its ups and downs! Super windy and cold but they still bite. Those cold water fish responded well to the blade baits and caught some good fish on the Binsky! We caught some good fish but a dropped phone into the water made the end of the trip suck! It happens!

In today's video I head out on the Chesapeake Bay and try my luck for some pre spawn largemouth bass. The weather hasn't been able to cooperate lately and we have a late spring. Warmer Temps are just around the corner though and now is a great time to catch some big fat bass!
The water temps are in the high 40's and the fish are actively feeding but the water is a bit dirty and there is a lot of current from the gates being opened at the dam. This just makes it a bit more challenging to find some active bass but they are there somewhere!

In this video my dad and I hit the water for some off shore smallmouth. This is the first time I have been off shore this year and we had a hard time. I figured it was best to leave this video along and not upload it until the cold winter months to help us all get through! We caught a few fish but it took us a few days to really dial them in.
I may have converted my dad over to using some real sunglasses but I bet if will be wearing these dollar store specials again next time we fish......

In this video I am back out on Lake Erie getting ready for the FLW Costa Series stop number 2 out of Buffalo, NY. I had a good finish during the previous event and would love to have a shot at angler of the year. Last year I ended up in 2nd in points and almost made the top spot. So in order to do that I need to get on some fish. It has been a difficult practice. I assumed that the fish would be deeper this time of year and that by now they should really be in there off shore areas and places with good history would be the deal. I spend a lot of time many many miles from take off hoping to run into some giant smallmouth. Well that wasn't the case for me this week. I had a decent practice with Dean the previous day and we found a small area that could have some potential. That was the plan, but once I found these fish today I decided to start the tournament here! I found the smallies grouped up pretty good, most fish I am catching are 4 pound fish or bigger. There is a 25-26 pound bag of fish where I am. I just have to hope the conditions are right and not a lot of boat pressure. I am feeling confident at this point and can't wait for the tournament to start!

Who is SmallmouthCrush?
Travis Manson was born and raised in Wisconsin. He started fishing from the bank at a young age and spent most of his childhood with a rod in his hand.
