ZMR 250 LowRider flight training
Bought some new toys: a used "ZMR 250 LowRider" FPV racer and a new "FrSky Taranis X9D Plus" remote control. Setting up the remote control is a lot of work, but fortunately the previous owner of the copter had a Taranis, too, and sent me a config file for it. The OpenTX companion program could convert it to my new remote control model and flashed it without problems. Needed just to re-calibrate the sticks and to change the remote control battery warning voltage, because the new model has no 11.1V LiPo, but 7.2V.
The copter is very durable. Crashing into the tree at Cologne Rheinpark and falling down 2 m on stone floor didn't break anything. Even the props survived (fresh Gemfans, "Bull Nose BN5045"). But after the first minutes I think I got it and now if I fly slowly and carefully, I don't crash. Next faster and with loopings :-)

This is me, trying my new Phantom 3 for the first time. It was windy, so I thought would be a good idea to test it in the woods, first, to see how much the wind affects it. Not a good idea, if you are still learning how to use the controls. But even in a moderate breeze it is easy to fly in beginners GPS mode, as I've tested later in the park.
