I'm working on a better audio recording set up that won't be so affected by me having to breathe through my mouth, or suck in through the tiny cocktail straw sized holes my nostrils have become of late (when they're not completely shut). Just, you know, warning you now... it's breathy in here :( Also I failed to do a test run recording to see how the audio levels in-game vs. mic were. I've got 3 more episodes of footage recorded that I'm going to have to re-do after I get these levels right. Fortunately not much happened and it'll be easy enough to re-do at this early stage. I swear the audio sounds plenty loud in my headphones, but that ain't coming through in the recording. I never paid much attention to Saint's Row. Back when it was just getting started was around the time that I was losing interest in the GTA formula. I used to love GTA, from the very beginning all the way through Vice City. But something changed with San Andreas, and the series went from mostly light-hearted balls-out fun to "super-serious-mode: ACTIVATE!" and Saint's Row, at least the first one, started out with a more "serious" feel. So when Saint's Row 2 came out I ignored it, not realizing Volition had wised up and brought back the fun. And of course that lead to also ignoring Saint's Row: The Third. That is, until a friend introduced me to the game about a year and a half ago... and then a curious thing happend, the guys at Humble Bundle teamed up with the then-dying THQ to offer a bundle of several of their games, and both Saint's Row 2 and 3 happened to be on it. So I grabbed it. And then a Steam sale came around with all the DLC for a few bucks. So I grabbed it. And yet I still did not play. Life is weird sometimes. But now. Now it's time. My first playthrough is going to mostly be me solo I suspect, but occasionally there will be co-op hoppers-on to assist in the mayhem. My intention is to get through the story ... relatively quickly? Because I also want to get to Saint's Row 4, and 2 if it's not too difficult to mod and the PC port isn't absolute dung. And then have a series of one-off co-op destroy-all-the-things fests whenever the mood strikes.
