There have been several major challenges for our hobby within past few years and another ones are rising. Rapid increase in energy prices are causing that many people are getting rid of their aquariums. Older generation of breeders is slowly passing away and there are only very few young enthusiasts willing to take Over.
Today we will discuss whether the Aquarium hobby is really dying, and what can we do to preserve it for our future generations.

Yea, it's been nearly half a year without any new video. My life has been a complete rollercoaster but despite it all I have been creating some content I will be sharing with you guys very soon.
I created Pat's Fish Tanks as my first ever YouTube channel and in 2,5 years it brought me a lot of joy, new adventures, many new friends a lot of skills in content creating and editing. However, as I have grown personally and also as content creator, my biggest motivation right now is not building my own channel, but rather community around channel that many of you will be part of. I hope most of you will understand my decision and will continue watching my videos.
I don't want to spoil too much from what's coming, but the bottom line is it will still be the same Pat, but with content much better than ever before and I hope you guys will be part of this new journey.

After a little while we are back with another Vlog video. Today I will be visiting my very good friend - Dennis aka "Pure Shrimp" who is Shrimp keeper, breeder and also founder of high-quality Shrimp Food "Pure Nordic". Dennis recently started new project and was in need of some special fish so I decided to give him colony of my favourite Poecilia Wingei strain. We have also talked about how the Shrimp business goes in these difficult times and recorded new project in the Shrimp room Dennis is mainly focusing on. As always it was lovely visiting Pure Shrimp, and I haven't left empty handed either...

Hey guys and welcome in second Vlog. This one took me quite some time to record and edit. I have joined MG Reptiles for Fossil hunt to collect some super interesting hardscape for my aquarium. Cleaning the hardscape and scaping itself took a while, however, the result is definitely quite interesting. It will definitely take some time and effort until this Aquarium will be complete to my satisfaction and therefore make sure to subscribe to follow the progress of this tank...

In this video you will find care guide for one of the most popular fish in the aquarium hobby - Platy Fish (Xiphophorus maculatus). They are super hardy, peaceful and easy to keep what make them very popular especially for beginners. There are countless variations of Platies and in this video you will see "Bleeding Heart" that is sometimes also called "Tiger" because of the vertical stripes along the body.
We are on the way to 5000 subscribers and I am really excited to take this journey with you! Thank you for your support!
