I took another trip to the Texas Twisted Sisters in late April 2021, and the problem became much more pronounced during that 600-mile ride. It has been parked since I returned from that trip... it's just too annoying (and potentially dangerous) to ride at this point. So, I decided to park it at the warehouse to make room for my other projects. During the ride to work, I found definite proof that the right suspension is loose somewhere and it's allowing the wheel to wobble side-to-side at road speeds. It appears that the ball joint or the steering linkage is slacked so the right wheel doesn't track straight. I haven't had time to get into that issue again, so it's still parked at my warehouse nearly 7 months later (December 2021). I'm hoping to restart that project in the next couple of weeks... I'll need to get a service appointment at a local Can-Am service center for diagnosis and repair. If Can-Am doesn't cover the problem under warranty, then I plan to replace the ENTIRE front suspension myself. The total parts cost for everything (left and right upper & lower control arms, ball joints, inner & outer tie rod ends, control arm bushings, etc) will be ~$1400. I'll perform the labor myself so I KNOW that it was done completely/correctly, and then take the bike to James Thorne ( https://www.thornolis.com ) for another laser alignment. I'm tired of diagnosing these alignment and suspension issues on my Ryker. I just want it fixed so I can ride it without constantly fighting it to stay on the road! ? I noticed that YouTube set my phone to 480s instead of 2160s (4K). The weather at Circuit Of The Americas (Austin, TX) turned really nasty on Saturday morning before the races. We had 50+ mph winds and lots of rain and lightning. The thunderstorm dissipated, but the winds remained all day long. Many of the tent campers lost their tents due to wind damage, so they packed up and left the event early. There were also some injuries due to flying debris and collapsed event canopies inside the race track. This was the same storm system that generated deadly tornadoes across the south-central US and continued through the eastern US: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tornado_outbreak_of_April_13%E2%80%9315,_2019 My tent fared OK, but I did get a few torn tie-outs on my rainfly, several tent stakes were bent beyond repair, and guy lines were shredded or lost. My tent poles were bending and inverting most of the day due to the heavy wind loads (35-50 mph all day long). I finally fell asleep with the tent collapsed down on my feet and legs... I was too tired to care anymore. The wind finally subsided after 10pm, and the next day was much nicer. My home-brew parking stand for the Super Cub worked really well! The Cub was pointed into the wind to minimize the surface profile, and it worked out well in my case. There were lots of other bikes that fell over due to the winds or because of the soft, muddy ground. Many of the car campers and moto-campers lost their tents in the storm or to the winds that continued afterward. There were dozens (if not hundreds) of tents and tarps that were shredded by the storm, and many people decided to quit and go home on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, they probably missed out on the great weather and all of the excellent race action on Sunday.
