#courtneycox #jarvisjarrett #atlanta Attorney Courtney Cox Thug Jarvis Jarrett ATLANTA, Ga. — An autopsy will be performed on the body of a Milledgeville man whom authorities say fired a rifle at officers with the Atlanta Police Department from a high-rise apartment building in midtown Atlanta early Wednesday. The autopsy is scheduled to be performed on the body of 32-year-old Jarvis Jarrett, of Milledgeville on Friday morning, Fulton County Medical Examiner Investigator Darrell Reid told The Union-Recorder via telephone Thursday. The autopsy will determine the exact cause and manner of Jarrett’s death. Jarrett is believed to have been shot to death by an officer with the Atlanta Police Department who was returning gunfire after he and other officers were fired upon by a man on the balcony of a 21st floor apartment known as the Atlantic House. Authorities have confirmed that Jarrett was an active shooter at the time he was shot and killed. The officer-involved shooting is now being probed by agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). After the shooting, police officers and detectives, as well as GBI agents went inside the apartment where they discovered the bodies of both Jarrett and a woman. Jarrett’s body was found on the balcony of the apartment, while the woman’s body was found in an undisclosed area of the apartment where she lived. Investigator Reid said the woman has been identified as Courtney Cox, 31, of Atlanta. The woman’s body also will undergo an autopsy Friday morning at the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Atlanta. Her death is being investigated by homicide detectives with the Atlanta Police Department.
