12AT7 Regen - NO Transformer! Yup, you heard right!
I built this critter way back in 2002, this was my very first attempt working with tubes and high voltage. This critter does not get much use mainly due to the dangerous personality it has.... No high voltage transformer! The 150vdc that the 12at7 needs for plate voltage is taken directly from 115vac mains voltage..."Right from the outlet!" Not a good way to build a tube radio i know, but back then i was young and stun! LOL
Anyways, i have plans to rework this radio in the very near future... may even build it into another case.. What are your thoughts? Rebuild this radio from scratch, or leave as is? Comment below. The comments with the highest same type suggestions, will be done with this radio. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BA4fq8YoLSk

Making some headway, but not a lot at the moment. The signal appears to be pulled to ground thus reducing the overall strength of the signal to the speaker. RF Gain, Volume and Squelch are working as far as i can tell right now. Stay tuned for more. Please subscribe!

Sometimes you just gotta start over.
Not sure yet if the radio equipment will stay in it's current locations, that may change in time.
