The bone dragon will just swerve its body across the room, so be sure to get into position and throw bombs. At the outside areas of Pinwheel Forest, there is a place where Black Belts and Battle Girls train known as Challenge Rock. Go there and you’ll find a Hidden Grotto. Enter this Hidden Grotto and you’ll sometimes encounter a special Bagon. It ranges between Levels 55-60. It also has the hidden ability, Sheer Force. With this ability, moves with added effects are powered up, but will also lose their added effects.

This level takes place underground. After a Paratroopa, cross a water hole and under a low ceiling by 2 Goombas. By one pipe, hit some invisible blocks then the garbage block to reveal a vine. This vine will take you to a Warp Zone that leads to World 3. If you continue underground, cross using platforms that sink while standing on them. After some pipes, continue ahead and you’ll see 3 Koopas along with some platforms. If you’re above ceiling, you can go down the pipe that goes deeper underground where you’ll cross water holes with pipes around them or continue ahead to find a Warp Zone that leads to World 2. In the deeper underground, by a red Koopa, hit some invisible blocks to find a Warp Zone that leads to World 4 or use the pipe to go back to the spot with 3 Koopas. Use the pipe to go back to the surface then cross the stairway to find the flagpole.

This stage contains Koopas, Goombas, Piranha Plants, and Bullet Bill cannons. The yellow Koopas will move a little faster, and the yellow Paratroopas will dodge a shell rolling towards them. If you see a winged ? Block, be sure to hit it to get a coin. Enter a pipe between hole and you’ll encounter more Piranha Plants underground. As you see fire bars, a blue Piranha Plant will appear. Use the pipe to return to the surface and the block nearby will contain a Star. Romp your way through and cross a few mushroom towers. Enter the pipe at the dead end and cross over some hard blocks to reach the goal.

After you met a Rocket Grunt at the Cerulean City gym, go to Route 25 and meet Misty up the hill next to Bill’s former cottage. Misty will then return to the gym. Go back to the Cerulean City gym and trainers will fill the area. After you defeat them, go ahead and take on Misty. Misty uses Water type Pokémon. Golduck will use Psych Up to copy the target’s stat changes and Disable to revoke the target’s most recently used move. Quagsire will use Rain Dance to change the weather for 5 turns and Amnesia to sharply raise its special defense stat. Lapras will use Sing to put the target to sleep and Ice Beam for a 10% chance of freezing the target. Starmie will use Confuse Ray to confuse the target and Recover to restore its HP. After the battle, you’ll receive the Cascade Badge and a TM03 (Water Pulse). Water Pulse has a 20% chance of confusing the target.

After getting the Plain Badge, go to the florist next door from the Goldenrod City gym to receive a Squirtbottle. There is a mysterious object blocking the path on Route 36, and you can use the Squirtbottle on it. The object is eventually revealed to be a Sudowoodo. Be sure to save your game before interacting with it. Sudowoodo is on Level 20. Be sure to have plenty of Great Balls to catch it. After catching it, the Lass who witnessed your battle will give you some Berry Pots and berries to go along.
