Here we reach the Route D, which is yet another double cross of sorts. We are barraged with familiar faces as we seek to be the last ones standing. And in the end, I am suspecting my theory about Route C and D being the Narm route... ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVXd-47jrxo
And this is where everything ends. Having to hop back to chapter 6, we must win over Sakamoto, who will help us with the final exorcism. The Departed realizes that its course of action makes it the same as those who killed them and shows mercy to prevent history from repeating itself and a new Departed from being created. We try to leave the restored girls alone, but with some effort, they are able to recall everything that happened and escape the curse.

I did this segment while working through Malduke, but I am uploading it separately if you want to see the fight. Our goal here is to get the ultimate armor for Jack, and in order to do so, we need to put out the fire on the altar and then play the guitar where the fire was.
As for the boss, it has a rough start due to a random encounter, and once Cecilia has her debuffs on it, we just need to spam Remedy and Raftina while the guys whittle away at Lucifer. After a little while, he bites the dust and we move on.
In terms of setup, due to our levels, I believe Magnum Fang to be Jack's best move, so I used the Secret Scrolls to lower its cost considerably, allowing me to spam it. Rudy has a few weapons to fall back on, and he is the one consistently hitting the damage cap. If either of them had more utility to offer, Cecilia could have joined in the offense, but you can see she wasn't needed for more than healing after the debuffs dropped.

One of the things that piqued my interest that I picked up while looking into strategy games was a Gundam game. In this one, there are a few different Gundam scenarios we are able to jump around to, and since Wing is the first in their chronology, I hop in.
Now, I have seen the anime and read some of the Glory of the Losers, so I can explain a few things that the anime doesn't (namely Wufei). There are probably more things explained later in that I did not read, so I can't quite comment on those or even explain the pacing of the manga as it probably skips quite a bit.
As for the scenario, it is basically the first five or so episodes of Gundam Wing compressed into a series of missions so you can see the five Gundams. We start with Wing as it enters Earth's atmosphere, then jump over to when Sandrock and Heavy Arms met, and wrap things up with Shenlong's attack. We do not get to see Death Scythe, but I explain why things are tense between Duo and Heero even though Duo did spring him out.
Now, this is as far as I will go on Youtube with Wing since I am not a fan of Namco's policies or some of the finer points of the game. We will have a different scenario tomorrow where I was hoping to find some canon units rather than having to throw in a bunch of Phoenix Gundams.

A pretty long video all things considered here as everyone crawls out of the woodwork looking for a piece. Luckily, Ledin has some sustain so we can keep going as more and more people pop in. And when it is all said and done, there is nothing left to stop Ledin from setting the world ablaze.

Here is the first part of something that will be happening a few times through the playthrough. We do not move forward with any major missions here, instead going to each and every place and speaking to the people there. This is generally how you will find the majority of the books, recipes, and even secret quests that are to be had. Due to the size of Crossbell, this is pretty much its own video with the following day being when we start working on our missions.
It looks like the audio after the halfway point starts to become desynced which is a little weird, but I don't really have the time to fix it. Luckily, it is just the Lost Tower where we get Strength rather than any major story point, but it is something I will need to watch for in the coming parts.
Anyway, Veilstone does have a gym, but we can't do anything there yet as there are some other gym leaders that have to go down first. Here, we learn about the contests that I have no interest in taking part in. We will need to come back for the gym, but I will still refrain from doing the contests.
Lastly, we do pick up an egg on our way out that I bench Swinub for. I don't know if it is the same everytime or if different things can hatch from it. It is going to take a little while before it hatches, and ultimately, what I get from it is not something I am eager to use.

Before we can overthrow Mugen, we need to arm our army and prevent his from gearing up. We set out in search of some weapons he ordered, sending us against a general and the conflict is nowhere near as epic or satisfying as I was hoping. There isn't really a dungeon to be had here, and we have to do another one of those duels I don't really care for. Luckily, the next chapter will have more meat to it, as well as a lot of narrative...

The end is nigh. We commence our final patrol getting the sentiments of the people of Crossbell for the last time (this game). Additionally, we pick up the missing recipes we need while doing this, so we are able to complete the cooking sidequest that has been idle for awhile and then take on a secret sidequest of sorts where we get to use the good food items. Once everything has been said and done, we have to go to St. Ursula on foot, which is where we will pick up in the next video for the second to last dungeon.
