Phew. It's been almost 2 months since I made a video.
I've had the idea to do this video rooted in my mind for a while now. I put a lot of effort into making it, and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out altogether :)
Thank you to Gracie, who has helped me through making this and suggested some of the scenes, and thanks to everyone who supported me and continues to! You guys seriously rock.
VIVA LA PONIES.

Here's a comparison between my original and remastered PMV to "Reach" by S Club 7.
-------------------------
It's simultaneously incredible and awful to look back and see all the editing mistakes I made back then. Resampling, desaturation, the friggin' Hub logo. Still, my vision remained the same and it's awesome to see the progression side by side.

Prismatic Dreams was planned to be my final PMV, one I'd been planning to make for a while. First of all, I was really interested in the idea of making a sad video for a change. For the most part my past PMV's had been overwhelmingly cheesy, so I was interested in flipping that on its head and breaking free from my cliches. I really wanted to leave a mark on the audience.
I wanted a video that told a really impactful story. Dash has always been my favourite and I've especially loved the sisterly dynamic between her and Scootaloo. I considered how that would change if they were separated. I began to experiment with the idea of maturity, moving on and finding a path forward. I'm starting a new chapter in life, seeking out a film editing job with a long term goal of moving to Canada. I wanted to express that in a different light, closing one door and opening another.
The PMV was going to be heavily symbolic. Most notably, it revolved around Rainbow Dash being killed off. I drew parallels between this idea of Scootaloo having to move on and me having to move on from my channel. I wanted to focus purely on the emotions. I saw the song lyrics as Dash singing to Scoots from the afterlife. She was gone, but that didn't mean the story was over. In a way, I wanted to reassure everyone the same. That even with me going down a different path, people could fill my gap. There's endless talent in this fandom. As a whole, the video was about Scootaloo finding a different way forward and being stronger because of it.
I also wanted this PMV to be different in its style. The format of TheeLinker's "La Da Dee" was so refreshing to me, this idea of working with an artist to create custom assets and tell a story. I was incredibly lucky to get Dracini on board and I can't thank her enough for the art she made for the video. The whole project didn't really work out for me, but I hope her work can be appreciated this way. I also have to thank SomeRandomPony9 for assisting me with the puppet animation. A huge obstacle was trying to make an animation-style video without the stress of full animation, and these two really helped me with that. Check out their stuff here.

My first PMV. I don't know what convinced me to do this, and some people will probably mock me for it, but I still had one hell of a time making it. :)

Five years ago, a cartoon called My Little Pony captured my heart. It taught simple messages about happiness, love and friendship. It taught something that I really believed in, and since then I’ve tried my best to spread that happiness and joy to others.
Most of my PMV’s are simplistic. They don’t go over the top with effects, they don’t break new ground and they aren’t the best this fandom has to offer. But above all, they tell a message. They tell you to reach for the stars, to believe in yourself and to show love to those close to you. They’re an expression of the show, and as a result, my heart.
I have seen people come and go in this fandom. Almost all of my biggest idols have disappeared, some without a trace. And it has been a surreal shift in nature to know that people look up to me in the same way. To know that I have inspired others is one of the best gifts I’ve had in life. I have no doubt that any gap left by me can easily be filled by the dedication and talent of the rest of the community. As long as there are people like TheLightLeavesThee and projects like The Collaboratory, PMV’s will be alive and kicking.
My biggest goal in life was to become a film editor. A month ago, that dream came true. I’ve graduated, formed friendships and fallen in love. I’ve gained 45,000 subscribers and over 10 million views. I’ve laughed and cried and feel I’ve achieved everything I wanted to on this channel. It’s hard to say goodbye but I think it’s time to move on. I’ll still be around in the community, but editing films instead of ponies. And maybe I'll end up making more stuff in the future, but for now my priorities have changed.

Hey, here's a music video I put together from my time at BronyCon! I didn't take a lot of fancy shots or shoot as much as I could've, but I wanted to make something special to honour my friendships and all the fun I had. I know this video's kinda late to the party (sorry!) but I still wanted to get it done as it holds a message that hopefully resonates post-show.
I went to BronyCon full of confidence and happiness at who I am. These clips may seem pretty out of context or even meaningless to many, but to me they remind me of moments to cherish. My friends are, and always will be, worth travelling the world for. Thank you to all I got to see, and to all I will see, there's a world of adventure waiting for us.

It's been a real journey. Seems like yesterday I was uploading my first PMV (Reach), expecting to be mocked and taunted for it. And then it hit EQD and.. woah. It was such an overwhelming moment for me. It made me feel part of something bigger, like one big family of people who respected, helped and cared for each other. It's silly, it's just a crazy fandom about crayon horses - but being a part of it, surrounded by such talent, skill and creativity...It honestly means more to me than you could imagine.
So I made Bring It All Back a year or so later, as a sorta tribute and thanks to the show. Yes, it was extremely cheesy. Yes, it was completely unexpected from me as a person. But people liked it! They liked it, and even though I made some editing mistakes and I still cringe at it slightly, they appreciated what I had done and made me that much happier.
