In this video, I forge a double-hook out of a railroad spike. This is a simple rustic hook that does not take much time at the anvil.
First heat for the fullers.
2nd heat to draw the spike to length.
3rd to refine the tip.
4th to curl the tip.
5th to forge the first hook.
After drilling and countersinking two holes, last heat to bend the 2nd hook into position.

In this video, I make a coat rack out of railroad spike and reclaimed lumber. I also forge a pair of simple "rustic" brackets to secure a shelf over the coat rack.
This coat rack is a gift for my nephew. I hope he likes it.
***I had some technical difficulties while filming and some of the footage doesn't have a soundtrack. I used a great new camera mike and forgot to turn it on a few time.***
