FPV Reviews: RunCam Micro Swift testing on a 220-sized quad
A follow-up test to the RunCam Micro Swift review where I flew it on a plane, this time I mount it on a 220 sized quad.
This camera was kindly provided for review by Banggood.com. Here is the (affiliate) link to it http://bit.ly/2spU61b
I'll be back with some more video featuring this new build - as I used a few new components, but I've also documented this build on my blog http://www.currykitten.co.uk
As soon as I get the 2.3mm version of the camera I'll attempt to put some side-by-side footage up of the same run.
The last Syma quad I flew handled pretty nicely, and this one folds up even smaller, so let's take a closer look at it.
This was supplied by Syma for review purposes, and here's the link the Amazon link this asked me to include -

They were also kind enough to provide a 20% off coupon which is valid until July 31st, 2018 . The coupon code is: 2UGJBXZ6

I think I've cracked the reason for my previous crash. After flying the first 3 batteries, everything felt good. But on this 4th flight, the control stopped responding in the same way as I felt before. I just caught site of the shadow as it went down looking like the leg folded back. The replay really shows what happened well.

Maiden (Video) - the actual maiden flight ended in two broken legs. Really strong wind here, but she handles very nicely - and no crashes... I'm happy
This is exactly as the previous clip, but also contains footage from the onboard camera which was attached to look at how much vibration it would suffer at this point. A reasonable amount right now.

Tools should be functional first and foremost, but that's no reason to not think about the design aspect as well. This is exactly what HoTo has done. Releasing great tools with a modern design aesthetic to them.
HoTo have given us a discount of 5%, just use the code CURRYKITTEN at check out, or use this link to the website to have it applied automatically https://hototools.com/discount/CURRYKITTEN

After killing the Mary demon, James decides to spend the rest of his life with Maria. But before they left Silent Hill, we can see Maria coughing again. Maybe Maria is also sick as Mary was, and the whole torture is repeating itself?

Ok, attempt number 2. Lesson learned, use a Muse track on a video, and it'll get muted and your account goes into "bad standing". So the original music will be on vimeo, in the meantime here's a hastily replaced audio track.
Had a fantastic time at this meet. It was really cold, and lipo's were outlasting the use of our fingers, but wonderful to fly and meet up with more FPV'ers than ever before.
It was full of incidents - sadly a lost plane, as well as crashes into trees, the grounds and a mid-air. Mine isn't the most exciting of videos (I'll add some links to the other guys as they appear), as I spent so much time enjoying riding as a passenger in other peoples flights, and generally chatting, that I only got in 2 quad flights, 2 AXN flights and an aborted Tri flight.
Awesome fun

A cheap and simple multi charger for 1S lipos and LiHV batteries - which seems like a no brainer if you are flying whoops, so let's check this out and also highlight an alternative charger or two.
This product was supplied by review by Banggood, so here's their (affiliate) product link https://www.banggood.com/URUAV-6-in-1-PRO-6x4_35W-6X1A-Battery-Charger-for-1S-LiPO-Battery-Charger-With-Micro-MX-mCPX-JST-p-1409131.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=Wayne&utm_content=tanghao
The slightly less flashy, but still great Eachine alternative is here https://www.banggood.com/6-In-1-3_8V-1S-Lipo-LiHv-Battery-Charger-Board-For-Eachine-QX65-p-1260610.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ&utm_campaign=Wayne&utm_content=tanghao

Hello, and welcome to a rather raw narrated FPV flight, where my video editing is down to a minimal level - so you can all sit there and wait while I clean my FatSharks :D
I wanted to get another narrated flight in as I wanted to talk about my cheap OSD, which is ok - except when it does exactly what it did today, and that is to lose the OSD information from the ground recording. That's not much good if I crash as I can't check it's last lat/long position.
As I mentioned, I came back to this rather boring location as it's well known to me, and whenever I swap out a component, I like to test it in a well known place. The swap (as I couldn't quite remember in the video) was from a FrSky V8FR-II to a D8R-IIplus. Annoyingly, they are both sold as being in the "two way" series, giving the impression that the V8FR-II should send back some sort of telemetry - i.e the RSSI signal, but it doesn't. The D8R-IIPlus does though, as you'll hear. Pretty annoyed that I bought the wrong ones in the first instance though.
It's to also show that you can have a field full of nothing, and then for some reason have areas of interference - who can tell why.

I sometimes struggle to easily get props replaced, mostly because I find it difficult to grip the motor bell tightly enough, so here's what I'm using now.
I bought the DYS tool sometime ago, but the pliers came recently from Banggood for review. Here's some (affiliate) links to the products -
