http://www.tridentfitness.net While attending an Operation Restored Warrior "Drop Zone" program in Vail, CO we got a chance to take our service dogs out for a little training on the zip lines! They usually do not allow this but, because the "War Beast" is a certified S&R K9 they made an exception. This was a great experience!
Just one small aspect of clearing a horizontal plane we want to make sure we create enough height to clear our weapon. This usually means not to the height of our eyes but more likely the height of our shoulders which is nearly 6 inches lower. If we do this we are much more likely to clear our barrel and have a clear shot if needed. Obviously there are other factors and variables to this but this is a good baseline principle to start from.

E-47 The Full Spectrum Warriors Podcast
Canadian Army Veteran Grant Miller got blown up in Afghanistan by an IED while on patrol. Grant (https://www.linkedin.com/posts/grant-miller-6b575298_what-athletes-get-from-ayahuasca-mushrooms-activity-6964311902415990784-zh2W) had a hard road to recovery both physically and mentally as many service members did, and he is currently helping veterans recover through the use of psychedelics combined with life coaching. We discuss how their program Charlie Team Consulting (https://www.instagram.com/charlieteamconsulting/) works, and how it is making a positive impact within the community.

http://www.tridentfitness.net During our training courses we out students under different levels of stress see if the old habits kick in or if the knowledge and skills they worked on are becoming second nature.
In this simple stress course students will have to carry an 85lb punching bag, swing a 16lb sledge hammer, shoot 10in steel targets while walking, press 2x25lb kettlebells, and shoot a 6in steel plate at the end with out hitting the hostage.

I have students who run into the issue of having opposing dominant eye vs dominant hand. One approach is to train you off hand to match you dominant eye, as you will have to do this anyway when it comes to the use of any weapon with a stock or scope. Or you would do that the opposite of training your weak eye to match your dominant hand. These work, they just take more practice to make it feel natural.
The other option that works for pistols only, is to simply adjust your grip slightly kicking the back end of the pistol over towards your dominant eye. Cross hand/eye shooting can be very fast and natural with very little practice in comparison to the above method, but you will still have to face the issue again when you move on to a stocked weapon.
The main thing here though is that you bring the sites to your eyes, not your head to your sights. This is very important for defensive shooting techniques as you progress through your training.
Hope this help!

Ammo is hard to find these days, and if you do find it the prices are jacked way up! Don't let this stop you from training. This is one of many drills from our Fundamentals of Defensive Pistol training series which can be found in our online training library ( www.fullspectrumwarrior.us ) focused on helping new shooters develop solid fundamentals which will lay the foundation for self defense and safety that can be done with out any ammunition. We call these "dry fire" drills. These are a great way to solidify good practices in-between your trips to the shooting range. As seen here, the addition of a laser will help you see any slight deviations and really allow you to fine tune stabilizing the pistol during the trigger squeeze.

Doing a little test run with the GoPro with their mount that clips onto the brim of your hat. Works ok, but when you start to move sometimes it feels like the weight of the camera is going to make the hat fall off your head. Not to bad, just would no run this doing anything more dynamic then seen here bc of that risk.

in this video Trident Fitness Tactical teaches clients a foundation drill for up close threats or charging threats. When a threat is to close or closing the distance to fast for you to reach a full extension we can use "instinctive shooting" (bc of the close proximity to the target) as we create space and time to get our firearms up into the "proper" shooting position.

Humans are fallible. You can't judge the faith or Christianity on the actions of a man or someone you have put up on a pedestal. They will fall short. They will make mistakes.
The truth is found in the teachings of Jesus Christ. That is how you should view Christians and Christianity.
