DevConf - Jiří Konečný: Anaconda is still Evolving
The past, present and future of Anaconda, the RHEL, CentOS and Fedora system installer. This presentation will try to describe significant features around the installer which have recently been released and which are being worked on for future releases. This presentation should help you understand Anaconda’s evolution and get a glimpse into its future. I will discuss big changes to Anaconda which are coming, and take feedback and answer questions. Attendees need to have used Anaconda before to fully understand the presentation. No deep knowledge of Anaconda is required but it is welcomed. This session could be highly valuable for those who already have some existing customizations in Anaconda.
Mass rebuild and mass branching modules are handled differently when compared to packages. For modules these processes totally depend on their build time and runtime requirements. This is very important for the module maintainers to understand to be prepared for mass rebuilds and mass branching.

Ceph, Gluster and OpenStack Swift are among the most popular and widely used open source distributed storage solutions deployed on the cloud today. This talk aims to briefly introduce the audience to these projects and covers the similarities and differences in them without debating on which is better. All three projects often have to solve the same set of problems involved in distribution, replication, availability, access methods and data consistency.

SCAP is a set of specifications related to security compliance. The primary use-case is to ensure a system is configured according to a predefined policy. It is heavily used in government, defense and finance industries.
In this talk we will explore how to use SCAP in the cloud-age to do security compliance of virtual machines and containers. We will start by installing the tools and preparing the SCAP content. Then we will proceed to scan a virtual machine for compliance, further refining the content. After that we will explore how to scan containers.
In the last segment we will discuss how to get content suitable for your infrastructure. We will explore sources of content and talk about customization options.

We have introduced the command line tool podman which can be used to replace the Docker Daemon in most use cases. This talk will demonstrate how you would replace Docker with podman and actually demonstrate podman doing these features. It will also demonstrate additional new features like management of pods, and better security features we have added to podman.
