Creativity, Execution and Consistency. Who does it best? Anime built on thin mechanics and poor foundations are going straight into the trash. Is YOUR waifu safe?
Oh no she didn't. Kobeni slamming it out on Dance Dance Revolution, gunning for a perfect score like the perfect human she is, I love you Kobeni.
#ChainsawMan89 #AnimeFriedChicken #Kobeni
As expected of a contemporary shounen battle manga in the climax of a fight between two of the most powerful characters in their universe, the chapter opens up with Kobeni slamming it out on Dance Dance Revolution, gunning for a perfect score like the perfect human she is, I love you Kobeni.
All the while Chainsaw Man is watching her go, chilling on the curb, arms crossed, not a care in the world, drowning in big dig energy, as if he wasn’t sent plummeting back to earth from space just a chapter ago.
But Makima the hyper-Karen has zero chill and quickly puts an end to their arcade game fun utilizing her army of simps. Her chains of control connect to a group of public safety bureau operatives from their torso to hers, and although in one panel it looks as the chains are connected to Makima’s stomach, in another panel it looks as if the chains are attached from around about 10 inches lower, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I AM SAYING.
BDSM aside, we get around 5 whole pages of the public cheering on Chainsaw Man. They love him. Can’t get enough of him. You’d think a guy with a chainsaw for a head would be a little more polarizing, but it looks like taking down the gun devil, the biggest shared fear the world-over has paid dividends, and now chainsaw man is hotter than satan’s toenails.
And unless these crowds of people are gonna start sharing their energy for a chainsaw man spirit bomb, it’s all kinds of uselessly timewasting, considering Makima has just summoned the Angel Devil, SACRIFICED 1000 YEARS worth of life FROM THE SAFETY BUREAU CRONIES, SPAWNED SOME DEVIL GOLIATH BEINGS IN THE SKY AND SHOT A BLACK ENERGY SPEAR THROUGH CHAINSAW MAN’S CHEST, leaving him a bloody mess in the streets.
You are done mate.
But is he? My predictions for this week is that we are going to see the fan boys and girls in the last panel, the ones waiving around their own chainsaws, break loose into the crowd, and for denji’s sake, they’ll start carving up some innocents and make a blood buffet to get Denji back on his feet.
So, kind of like a dbz spirit bomb but instead of people sacrificing a bit of ki and sending good vibes to the hero, they’re gonna involuntarily donate a couple gallons of blood. Each.
I’ll be here next week, maybe if I feel like it, talking about chainsaw man 90. Maybe I’ll even review some Jujutsu Kaisen, or read Mashle, Mahele? The harry potter muscles manga, you know the one. Or I might make a video about some old school anime, I’ve been digging the certain magical index /railgun / accelerator series recently. Or tell me what to watch o

FUKOU DA. The truth behind a certain scientific indexing magical accelerator.
Hey Hello How’s it going, Anime Fried Chicken here, back after giga binging the certain scientific Railgun index series and I gotta say I am disgusted, nay appalled over some of the comments in thy community about index season 3, outraged by it’s Mal rating, and upset in myself at how much Loli anime i’ve subjected myself to over the last month of watching these shows. DISGUSTING
Lets get into it, roll the intro.
Oh I don’t have an intro.
Well, shed, note to self, play some hype music while I give some scores for the Toaru show.
Now if you’re still awake and paying attention to this good content, thank you, thank you, you’ll notice that I have scored Index season 3 a 9 out of 10. The highest I have given any Toaru show or film across the board. And yet, what the thug is this.
Index season 3 has an average rating of 6.76, 6.76! Meanwhile Railgun S and T scored an average of 8.07 and 8.27. Get outta hereeeeee with your 14 year old girls slice of life judgement neighbourhood watch garbageeeee. OK, Railgun S and T were both pretty killer but it’s c’mon guys index 3 was better. butter?
You just need to accept that Hamazura is a better protagonist than Touma. Fast pacing? That’s not a criticism, this season had me flying by the seat of my pants the whole way. A poor adaptation? The heck would I know: Anime for life babyyyy light novels are for losers.
Poor animation? No. And have you seen these backdrops? This stunning background artwork. My eyes are literally creaming themselves. How about the fact misaka worst is the best iteration of that brat so far. For as much power as misaka original flavour has, misaka worst seems to be the only one firing off railgun shots successively and optimizing her power output. Casual misaka is disappointing misaka. Accua of the back was goating out all season, mugino meltdowner’s character and voice actress gives me shivers from both the writing and her performance.
And SO MUCH HAPPENS. It just al happens. No slow moments. Seemingly, no filler. Just action, reveals, payoffs and more action. I’m sorry if index season 3 doesn’t meet your middleschool girl slice of life beach filler episode a la Railgun. But for this one you’re going to need to take your feelings and subjective anime takes and stash them away in a tiny box in your mind and accept that index 3 is not a 6.76. IT’s a 9 or maybe an 8/10. Possibly a strong 7. What do you mean 6.76 rounds up to 7?

Jumping balls first into Fate. Covering Stay/Night, Zero, Unlimited Blade Works & Heavens Feel.
#Fate #AnimeFriedChicken #RingreaterthanSabre
Ok this will be more or less be a non-spoilery review of fate Stay Night, Zero and Unlimited Blade Works, and maybe a sneak sneak peak at the Heavens Feel movies, and figuring out if theres something in the Fate series for you to love. And how best to approach this beast.
Starting withhhhh the original anime adaptation, Fate Stay / Night
Studio Deen with a pretty slap bang up job with this 2006 series. A slow burn in the first 12, but the second half had me by the nads with the turning point being archer’s awful English and his unlimited blade works. I was sold. Gilgamesh’s introduction was much needed, carrying momentum through to the show’s finish and despite his late introduction, he didn’t feel like a shoe-horned in plot device. Little did I know gilgamesh would become my favorite character of the show and in each installment of the series I was counting down the episodes to his re-introduction.
For the main cast, I was a big fan of the dynamic ‘Sabre being the central protagonist and Shirou being the waifu’. Rin being relegated to the background felt a shame as there was some great meat to her character, though I couldn’t say the same for Sakura. She Sucked. Though I guess being relegated as side mistresses is fate for the majority of visual novel girlsies.
Overall, I’m pretty chuffed I started my dive into the fate franchise with stay night. It was easy to get into and quickly dispelled the pre-notion that Fate is some nebulous web of media, completely unapproachable.
I’m still not 100% on the correct way to jump into the chronology of the series, but I dived in dic first and came out unscathed. Maybe you will too.
If you’re looking for an easy watcher, A battle royal with indulgent fight scenes, great character designs and little else. This is one for you.
Next on the chopping block. Fate Zero. [back to the future reference The precursor. Shirou's dad takes a stab at the holy war, with the help of Sabre. Going into this one I had all sorts of bias. I was thinking, “well if I already know the outcome of the holy war, spoiled in stay night, whats the point? Is this even worth watching?
Well STFU anime fried chicken, what do you know? Turns out it’s pretty great. And how could it not be with Gen Urobuchi “the butcher” and studio Ufotable at the helm. Pretty slick, guys. Pretty slick.
Where Stay / Night felt like a pure fantasy battle royal show, Fate Zero toed the line between a similar genre mix as its predecessor, but with a psychological thriller aspect jumbled in,
and my weeb compass would have pointed it more to the seinen crowd. Zero was less fan service,

Chapter 243 Review of Black Clover. Lucifer the King of Devils.
#BlackClover #Lucifer #AnimeFriedChicken
HoOOO Boy. Asta has grown a second wing, grown snarling fangs and has lost just about all semblance of thought and reason as we can see the darkness take over his body.
He’s long past discourse, seemingly acting solely on bloodlust with his glaring eyes, drooling through gritted teeth, and swinging wildly. This is pure unrefined, rage.
Now this week’s chapter opens up with a little bit of exposition as vanessa reveals that her, Gauche and Grey have been freed from the magic pinning them in place and are now in free fall. And I did chuckle seeing them fall in unison with the odd one out being Gauche casually with a giant 8 foot broadsword through his chest ha!
Despite that, it would seem that either one of two things have happened, Asta’s concentrated push on Dante has distracted the spade king enough to drop the effects of his gravity magic holding them in place.
OR, and this would be much more interesting, Asta has activated his own Anti-mana zone and sapped magical effects within a target area. And as complex as this may sound, in his all encumbering rage, he might not even be aware he pulled off such a feat. Spooky.
Asta launches an attack at Dante with his Black divider while it’s engulfed in dark energy, and while at first it seems like a Getsuga Tenshou type projectile slash, you can see it’s connected back to the blade off panel, as if its more of an extension of the blade, almost like a whip.
Dante himself is reflecting on the attack wondering who Astas devil is, and we see Dante briefly escape to his inner realm, talking to his own devil, revealed as Lucifer. With the mention of devil hierarchy brought up in the manga previously, it seems all too fitting that the King of the spade kingdom would have the mythological king of devils, Lucifer.
Lucifer says he is unfamiliar with astas devil, whether truthful or feigning ignorance. Dante once again dismisses Astas devil as low class, and replies in turn with his own attacks utilising his anti grav magic and an assault of giant boulders. Mind you, these are quickly dismantled by Asta’s dual wield whip attacks, simple enough.
NOW, cutting away from the action for just a second, Tabata takes time to close up on Grey’s face, and I’m thinking that’s a lot of panel real estate for a minor character as she bitches and moans at her inability to help with Gauches injury. So I’m thinkin, maybe she can help.
Gauches transformation magic could be the key here. If Secre’s sealing magic can seal the effect of a wound, Wouldn’t grey be able to transform a wound? As we know, in dire times like this, magical folk can unlock new spells under great pressure.

These girls look like beige dragon quest slimes wearing wigs.
Here we are yet again with another anime I would have NEVER picked up purely because of the overtly moe character designs.
#GirlsLastTour #AnimeFriedChicken #SadFeelsAnime
But thankfully I did pick up the show, due to a recommendation comment in another video. Thank you Thank you. Once you look past the cute girl doing cute things otaku bait aesthetics, and allow for the camera to zoom out and pan over the post-war, post-apocalyptic, post-humanity landscape, you’ll find the terrain absolutely stunning.
This show strays from what I would usually seek out in anime. It is a showcase in simplicity and how little meat and potatoes you actually need to contextualise and execute a narrative well, IF the supplementary tools to storytelling are top notch. And by supplementary tools I mean thought provoking themes, exceptional visuals and a memorable soundtrack.
Expanding on that let me first defend why I say the story is simple, and please note I use the term simple and not thin, or lackluster, or wanting. I have no intention of belittling the show in its entirety and I don’t believe it needed 100’s of characters, or a deep lore, or entire flashback episodes chronicling the cataclysm.
In fact, my only real gripe early on was the lack of a bad-guy. Someone to hate. My expectations for good storytelling usually centres around establishing conflict and resolution. But it became quickly apparent that the conflict IS ever present. They are battling the environment day-in day-out as a fight for survival. Scarcity of food, the brutal climate, the unknown, those are the bad-guys. And the resolution is surviving the night.
The themes in the show are what glued my eyes to the screen and kept the cogs in my head spinning. The author’s choice for Moe blob girls to drive the story, while delivering them adult concepts such as the necessity of war for finite essential resources is hard hitting. Who better to deal with these harsh truths than ill-equipped children in the height of their innocence. The cruelty of reality also pulls no punches at all and is best reflected in the only two side characters introduced.
First Kanazawa, who states that creating his maps and surveying the broken land are his sole reason for existing. Only to soon-after lose said maps and states he is better off dead. Ishi is introduced next as humanity's last pilot. And after building that plane I really did think it was going to make the journey. Until it didn’t.
The visuals were breathtaking. And possibly because of the light story line and time allowed to take in all of the artwork, my overactive imagination drew comparisons to the following works:
Most obviously, Made in Abyss. I won’t insult your intelligen

All 15 Breath Styles Explained : Total Concentration - A Demon Slayer / Kimetsu no Yaiba Discussion
#AllBreathstylesexplained #breathofthesun #DemonSlayer
Anime fried Chicken here back once again with another Demon Slayer : Kimetsu no Yaiba discussion video.
Today we’re talking about breathing techniques, no not Hamon ripple Jojo’s bizzare adventure nonsense get outta here with that baloney. Today we’re not here to kill vampires, we’re here to neck some demons. And I’ve got 15 different schools of total concentration breathing styles that will do just the job. So buckle in, take a deep breath, and get ready to swing that Nichirin blade. Lets dive right in.
Water
First up is the style that has had the most screen time by an absolute mile, the Breath of Water. It’s worth mentioning now that there are five main breath styles, Water Flame Stone Wind n’ Thunder, and that other styles are essentially derivatives from these 5.
Users of the Breath of Water style include our boy Tanjiro, Urokodaki sensei, Tomioka and the deceased student of urokodaki, Sabito and Makomo. The art and animation of this style leans heavily on flowing water imagery for most of the attacks, with thick, bold inking, giving the appearance of a moving painting based on edo era artwork.
Thunder
The Breath of Thunder is next seen being used by our zappy boi Zenitsu. Other known users of the Thunder Style include his teacher, Kuwajima, and also the new Thunder Pillar, Kaigaku.
Just as you’d expect from the breath of thunder, the attacks are flashy and speed is the name of the game. Compared to the more flowing nature of the breath of water style attacks, The thunder school strikes, are direct, precise, and over in an instant. From the couple of attacks we have seen animated so far, it’s fair to say they have been electrifying.
Beast
The Beast style is derived from the Breath of wind and the sole user is our favorite boar headed support character, inosuke. Not too many of his attacks have been animated so far, but from what we’ve seen, his slashes could be categorised as more primal and less refined, while more brutal than the other schools of fighting.
One aspect of the Breath of Beast style that is quite unique, is his 7th form attack, 7th fang, spatial awareness. Allowing Inosuke to sense demons by minute disturbances in the air. This skill proving useful when tanjiro’s sense of smell or zenitsu’s super hearing, are for whatever reason being blocked.
Insect
The breath of Insect is a third generation style that was formed from the breath of flower, which in turn was born from the breath of water. The single user of this form of swordswomanship in Shinobu Kocho.
Personally I believe this to be the most creative methods of inflciting mortal wou

Character analysis for best dad ever - Ishigami Byakuya, Senku's dad.
Anime dads suck. Gon’s father from hunter hunter. Sanji's dad from One Piece, Endevour from My Hero, and don't even get me started on Full Metal Alchemists Shou Tucker...
Even Ighigo’s dad beat the heck out of him,and lied to him throughout his entire life. I haven't seen Grappler Baki yet, but I'm pretty sure his dad is the antagonist of the whole series. WHAT.
But what if I told you that, its completely possible for a main character to have a healthy relationship with his PRESENT father, andddd the world will turn to salt anyway.
Let's talk about Senku's dad Ishigami Byakuya. Best Dad Ever.
Anime Fried Chicken back once again with another Dr Stone video. Last time I spoke about this awesome untraditional shounen masterpiece, I did a general thoughts & first impressions style video covering the first 3 episodes. Since then the show has taken off, as predicted following on from consistent killer manga volume sales year after year.
I mentioned how Dr Stone broke the mould for Shounen series, with it centring on ideology conflict, as opposed to a classic power fantasy struggle. But those are more structural themes, and what I’d like to discuss today is more on the topic of character tropes, and unlike most anime character analysis videos, I’m staying well clear of the protagonists and villains of the story. Let’s talk about Senku’s dad, Ishigami Byakuya.
Now I know what you’re thinking, why are you talking about Senku’s dad, he’s a silly support character at best a relatable plot device to flesh out Seknu’s back-story and at worst a contrived tool to fill plot holes. But you’re wrong. He’s awesome and here’s why.
The first time Senku's dad is introduced to us is through a flashback. Tugging our heart strings as he sells his car in order to buy his Son scientific equipment and supplies, facilitating the development of big brain Senku.
And as someone that has worked in sales im not even going to begin to tell you how offensive but somewhat accurate this depiction of the money grabbing business guy is.
So at this point, we are at the furthest time back in what we've seen of Senku's origin story and along with many other themes in the series, it strays the beaten path of typical shounen anime. Senku wasn't a neglected child, battling adversity, theres no sob story here. The boy was spoiled rotten.
The next we see of best dad byakuya is just as he is explaining to his son that he had always wanted to be an astronaut, but had failed the selection exam, specifically a swimming test in which you must swim while clothed. My heart goes out to Senku's dad and anyone else that has failed this super niche test. I actually had to do it as an anti drowning trai

Promare & Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann Character Design Discussion.
#AnimeFriedChicken #Promare #GurrenLagann
What do you mean they look identical? How dare you ignore the fine nuances of world class anime’s character design. Just because they both have blue hair doesn’t make them the same person you goddamn racist.
Allow me to do my part and add to the anime community zeitgeist by breaking down how these two chad daddies are worlds apart and nothing alike.
Chapter 1. Subsection A. Hair Directionality.
You heard me right. Axial directionality of hair qwuifyiness in three dimensions, as previously outlined by the thugging creators of the shows.
So if you’re looking for some lore, some world building, the roots if you will for why Galo’s hair is so fwippy upwards this is the for you. And I quote,-ish:
Promare is about firefighting, which means that there's often a wind that blows upward. When there's an upward draft, one's hair naturally stands up as well.
There you have it heathens, Galo’s hair flops in the Z and Y axis, standing up and coming towards you out of the screen. As opposed to Kamina who has emo side sweepy hair flopping out in the X axis.
It’s simple trigo-geometry you pleebs.
Now, moving onto the rest of the Galo and Kamina’s character design, well I’m not going to bother because Galo is obviously a recycled asset and the bar is set low enough for us not to care. Degenerates, all of us.
Not to detract from both works as they’re both absolute marvels and some of the best contemporary anime we’re lucky enough to have. Go watch em both.
Thanks for watching and subscribe youFucs

EXPLAINED: Naofumi's Iron Maiden rage shield ability.
What does 19th century torture and execution devices, the 80’s UK heavy metal scene and modern day isekai waifus have in common?
#TheRisingoftheShieldHero #IronMaiden #RageShield
Anime Fried Chicken back once again with another Rising of the Shield Hero Video. Right.
I wasn’t expecting to, but I really enjoyed shield hero season one. And there were five scenes in particular that stick out as key moments that engaged me as a viewer. The first two were simply story beats that resonated with every fibre of my being and filled me with seething rage.
I’ve spoke about it in my previous shield hero video, and of course these outrageous moments were when Malty had slandered Naofuimi with false accusations of no-no assault, and secondly when Malty had interfered in Naofumi’s duel in an attempt to take away the one remaining light in his world, Raphtalia. So let’s talk about the next one!
If you like this video please subscribe, and I’ll make some more Shield Hero content. I’m just itching for an excuse to read the manga and light novels, and if you guys want more, so be it!
Chronologically speaking, this video will focus on my third favorite moment, as Naofumi summons unseen brutality and hidden strength to overcome the boss of the wave, effectively soloing what the rest of the combined cardinal heroes, couldn't, and kill the Soul Eater.
Earlier in the story, Nafumi was overcome by staggering anger and this manifested in a new customization he was able to unlock, the rage shield. The rage shield is under the umbrella of the of the wrath series, which in turn is in an item set under the Curse Series, and quite handily boosts his shield’s offensive capabilities a ton.
Now you’re probably asking, how in the heck was Naofumi able to use his shield to slice a dragon’s tail clean off, and I’m right here with you. But today we’re looking at one of the rage shield’s special attacks, the Iron Maiden.
The requirements to activate the iron maiden ability is to first use shield prison to capture your foe. Next follow up with a change shield attack in the form of piercing needles. The final requirement is to recite the following spooky chant:
“"Within this virgin of cold ore, who shall swallow even your screams with her embrace. Suffer in anguish as your entire body is stabbed and skewered! Iron Maiden .”
The torturous device will then materialise and encapsulate your enemy along with the shield prison. Only to have the walls of the maiden close-in, plunging 10 foot needles through your foe sealing their fate.
Drawbacks from using the attack are that it drains the user’s SP to complete exhaustion, and we’ve seen that this isn’t a one hit KO against all opponents as glas
