【4K】? Afternoon Walk Through Vine Yards Flooded by Sunlight
Taking a walk in the late afternoon in summer when the wine yards above the city are flooded by sunlight.
For this walk I take some backstreets and secret passages in the neighborhood. My way leads me to a nearby hill which is a favorite destination for the locals. However, on this sunday afternoon I don't meet any other people.
Following the road upwards and walking towards the light felt a little bit like going towards heaven. Unfortunately, due to the light the camera had some problems with the auto focus.. The road cuts into the soft soil and there are a lot of small holes and caves on both sides of the street.
After following the way to the top of the mountain I enjoy the view of the city and explore some of the vine yards. This is a famous wine growing area that produces some of the best white wines in Austria.
Exploring Weissenkirchen in Austria on a wonderfull day in spring. The town is located in the Wachau, a valley along the Danube river which is famous for its fantastic white wines.
In 800, sources mention Weissenkirchen in Austria for the first time. Today, the town is a famous tourist spot. Noteworthy is the magnificent gothic church which gave the town its name (Weissenkirchen = white church). In the video, you can see me going there around the 15:00 mark. You can even hear the organ playing!
Apart from the church there are many other old buildings. The whole town has a very nice medieval atmosphere.

The Myra waterfalls in Lower Austria are a wonderful piece of nature located about one hour to the south of Austria's capital Vienna.
Due to the lockdown going into effect in Austria because of Covid 19 / Corona-Virus, I decided to visit a location with only few people around. I had never been to the Myra waterfalls before and was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this place.
Following up a wooden construction next to the rushing brook, I was able to capture a lot of great impressions. I was also lucky because this was the only time of the day where the sun managed to come out.
There are two small lakes, at the bottom and the top of the Myra falls. In this video, I only captured the upper one. There's plenty of trout living in the water and I would have loved to try some in one of the local inns. Sadly, due to the virus and the lockdown in effect I had to pass on that.

Going in a relaxing vineyard hike in early spring. Due to the ongoing lockdown taking walks in the nature is one of the few options left when you want to leave your home. On this day, I went for a wonderful hike that led me past a vineyard mountain.
Come with me on this virtual hike as a follow the vineyard trail that offers a great view of the lowlands of Lower Austria. Not many people were out today and all you can hear is the singing of birds. Climbing a small hill I enjoy the great panorama and the view of the surrounding forest and farm land. With some luck you can spot deer or wild rabbits who live here.

Taking a relaxed walk through the Austrian town Fels am Wagram on a calm Monday morning. Located in a wine growing area close to the Danube River, this quiet town doesn't boast important sights. Nonetheless, it's a nice place where visitors can experience the peaceful life in the Austrian countryside.

Exploring an Abandoned Castle on the so called "Emperor's Hill" in Austria.
Returning from a trip to the Austrian Alps I passed by the castle ruins on Kaisersberg and decided on checking this place out. Built in the 12th century, the stronghold's remains invite visitors to look for hidden secrets between its old walls. This is meant quite literally. Just as I entered the castle, I met a couple with metal detectors in their hands. You can occassionally catch a glimpse of them in the video. It turned out they were looking for old coins and other valuable objects. I don't know if they were successful, though.
The fortress itself is overgrown with hazelnut. When walking around you have to pay attention to not step into one of the many holes in the ground that were formed after parts of the dungeons collapsed. The view from the "Emperor's Hill" was very nice, though, so it was defenitely worth the trip.
