Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) (Covid-19) -- Special Report -- J.C. on a bike! (#0045)

I am not a virologist, but I am a lifelong biologist. And I can read about stuff. Still, this doesn't mean I am gonna get things right. Dan's blog was essential to this report, and the vast majority of this report has remained relevant.
This is an attempt at a special episode about the Corona virus outbreak. Here I cover the contents of a few blogs to try and see what real information might be out there in the wild. However, viral structure, viral genetics, viral evolution are all WAY out of my expertise. This video might be more of an example of how far off target one can get with a little bit of knowledge only.
While I get some basics incorrect, the primary literature is well-covered. The details about what technologies might be available, and that folks in Wuhan likely were trained in these technologies is probably not just conjecture. So circumstantial evidence is not helping to make these theories of highly nefarious activities fade away!
Long story short: It seems likely that the virus 2019-nCoV is a highly virulent virus that was accidentally released from a laboratory in Wuhan, China. When only considering the genome of this virus, at least one publication called it unlikely that this virus resulted from natural recombination.
Therefore, it is warranted to stay aware and alert as the story evolves. The worst-case scenario is by all reasonable estimations pretty serious, so let’s hope for better for China and the rest of the world.

The 2015 Baric Lab paper in Nature Medicine titled "A SARS-like cluster of circulating bat coronaviruses shows potential for human emergence" is often at the center of any counterargument against the origin story pushed in the main stream media, the wet market origin of SARS-CoV2.
The original manuscript submitted in 2015 had a total of 32 references, of which six are no longer featured, and instead two new references have been added to the current online version of the manuscript.
This video covers these papers and what methodologies and results they contain. Why they would be removed from the current online version? That's up to someone else to decide, but I know what I think!
