***“Ladytron”*** are an English electronic music band from ***[Liverpool, England](https://cutt.ly/mWpsUji)***. The band formed in 1999 when producers/DJs ***Hunt*** and ***Wu*** - a pair of friends who met in the mid-'90s - settled in ***Liverpool*** after traveling and spinning records in ***Japan***.

Based on the songwriting partnership of Morrissey and Marr, the Smiths' focus on a guitar, bass, and drum sound, and fusion of 1960s rock and post-punk, were a rejection of the synthesiser-based dance-pop of the time. The friction between Morrissey and Marr resulted in a flurry of singles and albums over the course of three years that provided the blueprint for British guitar rock in the following decade.
***"The Queen Is Dead"*** is the band's third studio album, released on 16 June 1986 in by **”[Rough Trade Records](https://cutt.ly/YvnQ9fS)”** and **"[Sire Records](https://cutt.ly/YvmyDPw)"**. The album was produced by ***Morrissey*** and ***Marr***, working predominantly with engineer ***[Stephen Street](https://cutt.ly/YvmyDPw)***, who had engineered the band's 1985 album ***”Meat Is Murder”***.
Album is a harder-rocking record than anything the Smiths had attempted before. ***Johnny Marr*** has created a dense web of guitars, alternating from the minor-key rush and the faux rockabilly to the bouncy acoustic pop as well as the lovely melancholy.
***Morrissey*** delivers a devastating set of clever, witty satires of British social mores, intellectualism, class, and even himself, who attempt to see how outrageous of lyrics he can get away with, all-the-while being supported by Marr, his magician of a guitarist.
