Sure Site Target Hangers Review
The simplest and most effective way to hold clay targets for target shooting is to use the target hangers made by Sure Site (SureSiteInc.com), or at least that's what I've decided after trying a handful of other methods, and then finally trying these out.
Clays are a blast to shoot (pun intended), they're inexpensive, they don't harm the environment, and they have the advantage of giving the shooter immediate feedback. Also, you can use them for target practice with all types of guns. The inexpensive fun associated with clays tells me you can't go wrong making them a regular part of your shooting excursions. Clays become incredibly versatile when you can hang them to shoot them, and Sure SIte target hangers make that possible.
At just $5 per 10 pack, I absolutely recommend these plastic hangers made by Sure Site. They're not indestructible, and they can get lost in the rubble (a problem you could easily solve by spray-painting them a hi-viz color), so you might want to buy a 50 pack and have some REAL fun. Shipping isn't the cheapest, but perhaps you can avoid that by getting your local sporting goods store to carry them. In the mean time, order as many as it takes to make the shipping cost worth it to you - you won't regret it.

One of the main reason I got interested in, and picked up a Ruger 22/45 was to use it as a training substitute for my usual carry gun. While the controls and other features on this gun are different from my Glock 19 & 27, I can still easily work on presentation from concealment, after-action drills, tactical reloads etc - and do it very inexpensively. In that way, I can effectively build most of the muscle memory I'll need for a real defensive encounter.
To get this gun fully squared away as a trainer, I needed a good holster, and this $25-30 Tactical Solutions Ambi Holster is fitting the bill pretty well.
I'm testing both the mark 2 & mark 3 Ruger 22/45 in this drill. I intend to keep only one of these guns as they both fit the exact same role for me, so part of the purpose or this drill is to decide which gun I prefer.

This is just a bit of candid, behind the scenes footage to serve as my introduction to the Snow Twister course that myself, C0cket20 & SnowLobo95 put together. We all contributed targets, and we all had a say in how the course was laid out. This shooting excursion was a true youtube collaboration.
You might get the sense, as you watch, that we were more interested in chatting and laughing than shooting. Well, that was pretty much how things ended up. We all did our fair share of shooting on the course throughout the day, but we spent far more time, between runs, just hanging out.
