Cyberpunk 2077 News - Delay Rumor, Kowloon Walled City, RPG Mechanics & HEAVY Marketing!
Is another Cyberpunk 2077 delay incoming? What is Kowloon Walled City and how has it inspired the modularity of Night City? How bullet-spongy are enemies and what are the RPG Mechanics behind 2077?
We'll go over all these questions and look at the insane heights of Cyberpunk's marketing push all in todays news update!
In todays Cyberpunk 2077 news and speculation we are looking at E3 2019 being confirmed and speculating as to what we will see from Cyberpunk 2077 and CD PROJEKT RED
Now E3 2019 is still around 100 days or 3ish months away but today we are talking about the recent confirmation that CD PROJEKT RED and Cyberpunk 2077 will be at E3 2019. Cyberpunk 2077 took to twitter yestesterday to announce they will be attending E3 2019 from June 11th to 13th. With Sony not being present at E3 for the first time in 25 years, and with Cyberpunk 2077 being all but silent for the 6 months since the big 48 minute gameplay reveal, I thought we would speculate what we could expect to see from CD PROJEKT RED and Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 this year.
I wanted to first bring up how much more impactful Cyberpunk 2077s presence will be at E3 2019 due to Sony not attending this years conference. Althought this is a big blow to the conference overall, This gives so much more room for 2077 to take the spotlight and for lack of a better term carry E3 to having a good conference.
Next let’s talk about a release date and E3. With all these 2019 and early 2020 rumors, and with the fact that they have given us a decently sized gameplay demo and a gorgeous e3 2018 trailer, I think it would be logical to expect a release date reveal at E3.
Going along with that train of thought, I think we will likely see a CGI trailer or gameplay trailer in general from Cyberpunk 2077. I think a release date reveal would fit perfectly at the end of one of these trailers. The Witcher 3 had some of the best trailers in gaming, so expect any trailers for 2077 to be just as good.
With rumors of the next generation Xbox being announced at E3, I can see a parallel announcement that Cyberpunk 2077 will be a launch title on next generation as well, which could be huge for Microsoft if they can announce it before Sony.
When it comes to CD PROJEKT REDs actual presence in the venue, I have a theory that their booth will be a bar much like E3 2018s Atlantis bar. According to this tweet there will be beer, and CDPR did replicate This lore based Atlantis Bar for visitors to relax in, poundd back a few Ciderpunks, as well as view the E3 demo.
Having a different bar like The Afterlife for this years E3 with people potentially being able to get their hands on a demo, would fall in line with a consistent presentation when it comes to the lore of Cyberpunk.
If there is a more hands on demo, my guess would be that it would feature a new quest or quest segment and they will want to showcase the city at Night, as well as some of their new mechanics like the fluid class system and cinematic dialogue system.
I think it’s also safe to assume we will get a variety of different screenshots and concept art slides.

Today we are briefly analyzing the Behind The Music trailer from Cyberpunk 2077 and CD PROJEKT RED featuring the announcement of Grimes, Run The Jewels, ASAP Rocky and other artists being featured in Cyberpunk 2077, as well as the performance and visuals of the Grimes song 4aem showcased at The Game Awards.
So first we are going to go over the performance of 4AEM by Grimes, because its chock full of potential Cyberpunk 2077 lore implications. Right off the bat we have Grimes, with a stark red background reminiscent of the Blackwall from the Deep Dive. This is a form of ICE software which is currently keeping out the malevolent AI from The Net in 2077. This is most likely the Net as hinted at by CDPR, and may have something to do with the quarantine zone behind the Blackwall just because it is so red. We see some sort of digital blue particles dropping from the sky, which starts to proliferate and spread across what is presumably the Net cityscape. Now the people walking around are not entirely blue, but when grimes’ steps into the bathtub in her performance, in a netrunning sequence, she takes shape in the net using these blue particle effects. Again, we know this is netrunning because she steps into a bath, similar to how V gets into the bath and plugs in during the Deep Dive. I do also want to mention that the trailer is based loosely on the world, so it’s also very possible that this is being showcased in a purely visually capacity and has less to do with the world and story as we’re making it out to be.
Grimes has also been confirmed to be Lizzy Wizzy, so its safe to assume the Icon that’s present in the net that represents her is of Lizzy Wizzy, and not Alt Cunningham like it initially appears to be. Now Lizzy’s Net icon or avatar is a little different from the one featured in the Cyberpunk 2077 e3 2018 trailer, however the look id similar to the one on some of the posters in Night City. Now when it comes to who exactly Lizzy wizzy is I want to highlight this interview with Patrick Mills with NightCityLife where he reveals that Lizzy Wizzy is also this woman. He also references full body conversions. Now with braindance being so popular and Lizzy Wizzy being a famous popstar, this could mean that Lizzy Wizzy is also a braindance recording artist. We see skin and chrome as a braindance in many of the trailers and demos, so this could be the reason we see a full chromed out Lizzy wizzy which contrasts with her more humanoid form. It could also just simply mean that Lizzy wizzy swaps from full body conversions or her augmentations frequently, and again has many different looks similarly to someone like Lady Gaga in terms of a modern-day fashion parallel.
At 1:16 we see the blue effects on a tower that appears to be owned by Arasaka. As

Is David Martinez actually dead and can we see him in Cyberpunk Edgerunners season 2 or even in the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty?
With David being flatlined by Adam Smasher it looks like his story has been tied up ... or has it?

Cyberpunk 2077 developers and some clarification on "new information", statements about the cyberpunk 2077 delay from senior quest designer Philip Webber, the status of the Taipei Game Show and misinformation on a new Cyberpunk 2077 demo, a Cyberpunk 2077 fan film, CD Projekt shares breaking records and more will all be talked about .
First we have an article from ONMSFT.com where a interview with Head of Krakow studio John Mamais was mentioned.
Now due to the nature of the article, I went through CDPR’s community manager and PR to make sure this was a legitimate interview. It does seem like it is multiple articles from PAX Australia slapped together, which is not at all mentioned or explicitly stated and PAX Australia was quite some time ago.
This pieced together interview if you can call it that did get picked up by a ton of other media outlets, so I just want to mention that this information although new to many, is subject to being somewhat outdated.
Regardless there are tidbits we haven’t talked about yet.
The first question of interest to me was in regard to the teaser trailer and if it was the original vision for Cyberpunk 2077 or just proof of it’s concepts.
John Mamais answers with he thinks this was the original vision at one point, but it has evolved and changed a lot since then.
Customization is a big element of Cyberpunk 2077, and when asked how wild customization can get and if you can make a hilariously disfigured character, Mamais responds with there are limits because the customization options still need to fit the skeletal rig of the character.
We have talked about the Nintendo Switch in the past and as for any plans on the Nintendo Switch, Mamais mentions that Cyberpunk 2077 may be too heavy for it. It seemed like it was a miracle getting The Witcher 3 on the Switch and with Cyberpunk 2077 being so massive in it’s scale and density, I think this is something that will have to wait for.
Whatever Nintendo has planned for it’s next generation may be able to accommodate Cyberpunk, but only if CDPR wants to go that route.
We already know we can play Cyberpunk 2077 100% non-lethally, but John Mamais adds that this not only makes the game harder by not killing enemies, but that it will take a lot longer to play. The easiest way to play the game is to run and gun.
Tons of questions have been asked about simulator type experiences and Mamais mentions that “we don’t have any simulator stuff or gameplay. In Witcher 3, we did the open-world elements very late in the developmental process when we only had two or three people working on it.”
VR was also brought up, and Mamais admits tha
