The COMPLETE JAKARTA MRT vlog on FIRST DAY Open to Public! ? Bundaran HI to Lebak Bulus
This vlog is from the First Jakarta MRT line on the FIRST DAY open to the public. Now the public has a way to beat what Jakarta is famous for -- the traffic.
On 1 April 2019, I met up with my two local Indoesian friends-- Roy and Robert. Together, we took the complete ride from start to finish on the first MRT line of Jakarta, Indonesia. Thank you guys!
We met up at Grand Indonesia mall, and then walked to the MRT station stop Bundaran HI Station, in Central Jakarta. We noticed crowds of happy Indonesian people taking photos with the entrance way, and TV crews with cameras.
When we walked down into the station is where we noticed the huge crowds and long lines! But even with the long lines and the confusing situation, I was so impressed by the people -- all smiles and so friendly.
People happily waited upwards of 1 hour to buy their single use tickets, and to scan into the new underground train.
All of March was the trial run for the public to use the MRT in limited time slots. This was the first day open to the public and the staff were definitely not prepared for the crowds, and the entrance/exit scanners were only working 50% of the time.
Even with all of the mess to get inside, once we were all scanned in, then everything worked smoothly. The train was quiet, smooth, and so clean. We enjoyed it when the train smoothly transitioned from the underground to a overground into a skytrain.
We rode the 13 stations to the last stop of Lebak Bulus in South Jakarta. Then we turned around and ride it back to Bundaran HI, next to Grand Indonesia & Plaza Indonesia Mall.
This is a very proud moment to see Jakarta developing so fast. Jakarta is getting multiple MRT & LRT lines, and already an airport skytrain and train to the city.
It was a proud day for all, including me. Love to Indonesia. ❤❤❤

A trippy open Air Barbershop at the highway!
Pattaya, Thailand ??
I'm in the beautiful beach city of Pattaya, famous for nightlife and delicious seafood. Opposite Little Walk, I found Ning's barbershop on the side of the Sukhumvit highway leading into the city. It is connected to a 20 year old restaurant that serves delicious Thai food and low prices.
I asked Ning for a haircut & shave. I asked him to trim my beard.
I gave him total freedom, except for two rules -- keep the top long and to make me into a handsome Thai hippy man. He happily agreed, said "My Design!" -- and did an amazing job.
This man is an artist, and you can't rush art. Thank you, Ning!

You have seen me do videos with house barbers, street barbers, farm barbers, but now I brought my barber to the beach. My barber today is Nin, who is a transgender female barber. Nin has a barbershop called Nin Barber on Soi Buakow in Pattaya City.
In Thailand, a transgender female is called ladyboy -- not a derogatory term, since they don't use the word trans.
Pattaya is a really fun city. I hope you all get a chance to visit here.
