The end is nigh in Judgement Day, a new Adversary Mode that pits a small team of powerful Riders against a vulnerable group of Hunted in a kill-or-be-killed, hide-and-seek scenario. The Hunted need only worry about surviving through dawn.
Riders will begin each round on an LCC Sanctus and are equipped with extra health, speed, a Double Barrel Shotgun, Stone Hatchet, and a host of abilities — including a brief burst of thermal vision, heartbeat sense, and health regeneration when near their Sanctus. Riders also deal increased damage when near their Sanctus and will respawn if downed before the final minute.
Riders must sniff out and eliminate the Hunted to emerge victorious. Hunted will find weapons strewn across the map, which Riders cannot pick up. While killing a Rider won’t be an easy task, it’s the only way to bring a fallen teammate back into the fray for a crucial bit of back-up — though resurrections are disabled in the final minute.
Listen out for audio cues when the Riders are nearby, but don’t let them get too close — a fire will consume any Hunted who comes within breathing distance of a Rider. Hunted must survive until dawn and run down the clock to take the victory or kill all the Riders in the final Sudden Death minute.
For this week only, both teams will earn 2X GTA$ and RP for playing Judgement Day as well as a bonus of GTA$300,000 for winning 3 rounds (delivered within 72 hours of completion). Plus, look out for new Halloween clothing, collectibles, events, and returning fan-favorite modes in the weeks to come.

You want to know when the “golden age” of muscle cars was? It wasn’t the 1960s, despite what your baby boomer auto enthusiast friends would have you believe. Sure, there was a lot of great stuff back then, and it was the birth of the muscle car idea — but back then, you couldn’t walk into your local Ford dealership with a suitcase full of cash and walk out with a 760-horsepower Mustang. The golden age of horsepower is right now, folks, because with that suitcase full of cash, you can head down to your local Ford store and walk out with this: the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, the ultimate Mustang, the quickest, most powerful Mustang that Ford Motor Co. has ever created.
It may share its name with the ponies that have come before it, but to say that it’s a very different animal is an understatement. The real question is this: Is it different enough to command a price premium over the already fantastic 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 and GT350R? I drove one around the Las Vegas area to find out. (Per our ethics policy, Cars.com pays for its own airfare and lodging at such automaker-sponsored events.)
Start with how it looks, featuring unique front and rear ends that aren’t shared with either the regular Mustang GT or the Shelby GT350. It has a huge grille with all kinds of honeycomb openings meant to feed that massive cooling system. It flows 50 percent more air than the GT350 and feeds things like an oil cooler and transmission cooler as well as the radiator and engine. It flows so much air into the engine bay that it required a new hood with a big extractor vent to get all the air out of the engine bay, as well.
The optional Handling Package makes it look even more aggressive with additional aero kit, such as front “splitter wickers” ahead of the front wheels that affect downforce and airflow, plus an adjustable rear wing with Gurney flaps. A lot of work has been put into the car’s aerodynamics, and for good reason — you need all the downforce you can get when you put an engine this powerful under the hood. So it definitely looks different from a GT350; score it some points there.
No One Car Should Have All That Poooowah
Here’s the big difference between the GT350 and GT500: The GT500 has a 5.2-liter supercharged engine making 760 hp and 625 pounds-feet of torque. It’s a different engine than the one seen in the GT350 — no flat-plane crankshaft here, the GT500 instead uses a cross-plane crank but still revs ridiculously high for a supercharged V-8. It makes its peak horsepower above 7,300 rpm, and has several other modifications from the GT350, such as sodium-filled valves, strengthened cylinder head bolts, computer numerical control-machined heads and more. But it’s the 2.65-liter Eaton supercharger nestled up top that makes the big difference.
You may notice one other big difference from the GT350 sitting at your right hand. Yep, that’s the shifter from a Ford Explorer, a rotary knob controlling a Tremec seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission adapted from the Ford GT supercar. Unlike the GT350, there’s no manual
transmission offered for the GT500, and that’s perfectly fine — I don’t care what you say. Why? Because the thing can rip off shifts in 80 milliseconds. I defy you to even get your left foot from the brake to the clutch of a GT350 in 80 milliseconds. Combine that massively powerful engine with its immediate torque and the exceptionally fast and smooth seven-speed DCT, and you have a matchup that makes the GT500 something special.
Out on the street, it honestly doesn’t feel all that different from a GT350. The GT500 features the MagneRide electronically controlled adaptive suspension, so you can set it to Normal mode and it will putter around town happy as you please; it might even be easier to drive than the GT350, as you’re not fiddling with a clutch pedal in stop-and-go traffic. The ride is amazingly well damped, never beating you up or losing composure even on choppy pavement — of which there admittedly wasn’t much of on our brief street drive in the mountains above Las Vegas Motor Speedway. It’s smooth, it’s comfortable, it’s even relatively quiet. The revised suspension with its modified spindles (also seen on the 2020 GT350R) helps to reduce the tramlining for which the previous car was so notorious. You can daily the GT500 without a problem, although I’d suggest two modifications: Stick with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that come with the standard GT500 and not the Pilot Sport Cup 2s that come with the optional Carbon Fiber Track Package. Skip the Recaro sport seats, as well.

An amazing collection of a vast variety of cars, from production models to rare and legendary cars, has been among the key DNA ingredients of Gran Turismo. The tradition continues in GT7, as it offers more than 400 cars from 60-plus automotive manufacturers around the world. More will be added to this massive total in the form of future updates.
Tracks from 34 locations with 97 layouts
The list of tracks that serve as the stage for all the racing action have been expanded for GT7. With the traditional mix of real-life and original circuits, GT7 features tracks in 34 different locations with 97 unique layouts. Classic series circuits such as Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, and High Speed Ring are making a comeback, updated to the latest technology. Also, additional tracks are also planned to be added with future updates.
Venture into a car-themed resort
The fan-favorite World Map is coming back to the series with GT7. This time, it's taking the form of a resort where players can enjoy their car life, as well as use it as a menu to get direct access to the various features of the game. The first thing that players will do in this world is buy a compact car with their initial credits. Building from there, they will take on challenges in the form of races and various events to work their way up to obtain faster cars and rewards. They'll also be able to tune and upgrade their original cars to become faster as they progress through the game. Using the "Garage" as a home base for storing their cars, players can venture out to the car resort to discover more about the automobile and its history.
The Café: A place to discover car history and culture
At the Café, players receive Menu Books, which provide quests that guides them through the many locations of this car resort. The Menu Book is at the center of the GT7 experience, assisting players in collecting cars. After completing a book, players can listen to a curated description of their newly acquired cars, and sometimes even meet the designers who were involved in their creation! The game is designed so that players will naturally interact with the history and culture of the automobile through the Menu Books.
Three Car Dealerships
Car Dealerships are where cars can be purchased in the game. In GT7, players will progress through the game using three different dealerships depending on their objectives. One of these dealerships is Brand Central, where vehicles produced in 2001 and after can be found. Roughly 300 cars are available, and in the dedicated Museum section within a brand, players can learn more about their history.
At the Used Car Dealership, players can purchase used cars at a more reasonable price than something brand new. That said, there are some models, such as Japanese sports cars from the 1990s that command a premium price, usually well above their original sticker. The used car lineup is planned to be updated every day.Finally, there's the Legendary Car Dealership that offers rare and iconic cars with high historical value.
World Circuits: Visit and race on the world's greatest tracks
World Circuits is a location where players have access to the tracks featured in GT7. From here, they can visit various circuits and take part in races and championships there, among other things. The Circuit Experience feature focuses on learning all the sectors of a track, and the Custom Race feature allows you to choose weather conditions, time of the day, number of laps, and your opponents to your liking.
License Center and Missions
In addition to the many races that represent the core of the GT7 experience, the game includes a variety of fun activities, such as those in the License Center. This mode acts as a driving school where players can take on short time trial challenges with the aim of obtaining Gold awards while honing their driving skills.
Missions present a variety of events that are different from your ordinary race or time trial. Here, players can try their hand at Drag Racing, which is essentially racing in a straight line, or Drift Trials, where they accumulate points by showing off their sliding skills.
Multiplayer feature allows you to enjoy racing with family and friends
There are many features for enjoying races with other players. There is a two-player split-screen option where players can enjoy racing against family and friends in their own living room, and a Lobby where the fun can be taken online. Sport mode offers real competitive racing. And new to the series is Meeting Places, which offer a more casual form of lobbies.
The Tuning Shop, GT Auto, and Livery Editor let you personalize your cars
Returning to GT7 is the Tuning Shop, a place where you can purchase and install high-performance parts to increase the performance of your car. There are more than 60 tuning parts prepared for each car in the game.

Starting right at the plastic body, the use of aluminum reinforcements in the cowl structure, inaugurated in mid-'57, has been extended to include the so-called "rocker panels" under the door openings. Bumpers are now bracketed to the frame in conventional American style, relieving the front and rear body panels of loads that are not rightfully theirs. These two items raise the weight "less than 100 pounds", but for racing, most of it can be unbolted and left in the pits without the SCCA batting an eye.
Uncowled dual headlights show how attractive most American front ends would be if we'd get off this "I'm longer than you are" kick. Just below them are really large holes for blasting fresh air onto the brakes, but on our test car, alas, the "holes" were painted black! More on this later on.
Further production experience with the F.I. nozzles and metering controls permits closer control over the air-fuel ratio this year. The warm-up diaphragm is now more sensitive and the air filter is also changed. On all Corvettes, the generator is now on the right-hand side so that the fan-belt engages the water pump pulley over a far greater arc, reducing slippage at high revs. Common to all '58 Chevy's with the 283 cubic incher are a new distributor rotor and a cap with longer sides to help keep out moisture.
Like most manufacturers, Chevrolet is none too happy about some of the attempts made to bring "boulevard" engines up to all-out F.I. specs. More is required than just a Duntov high-lift cam and a handful of solid lifters, although the factory is not too specific as to what is. What they have done is clarify the picture of available options.
First of all, here is what an absolutely standard Corvette would have (later we will get into what else can be ordered on the car at the time of purchase): The 283 cubic inch V-8 with a normal camshaft and hydraulic tappets (limiting revs to about 5500, as on our test car), a single four-barrel Carter carburetor (#3744925), the "close-ratio" three-speed transmission (also used on other Chevy's with the 283 inch engine), a 3.70/1 ring and pinion, 6.70x15 tires (tubeless or not, to choice) on 5Kx15 disc wheels, and a choice of either the hardtop or the hand-operated folding one.
Options available that do not change the basic car's essentially boulevard character include: Powerglide transmission and with it, a 3.55 rear end; electric window equipment (which is no lighter than the hand-operated kind as reported elsewhere); a hydraulic mechanism for the folding top; and for the belt-and-suspenders types, both the hard and soft tops may be ordered on one car.
To improve performance, one can order either two Carter quads or fuel injection (we have the latter), the manifolds differing slightly between Powerglide and stick-shift cars. But for the most in "go", there is the 290 bhp @ 6200 rpm "D" fuel injection engine which features a 10.5/1 compression ratio, the high-lift cam, solid lifters, an air intake extension to bring in cool outside air, a reputedly "more efficient radiator", and a tachometer reading up to 8000 rpm. Especially designed for this engine, but definitely available on its own, as on our test car, is a really delightful, all-synchronized, four-speed gearbox.
In much the same category are the Positraction limited-slip differentials available with either the 3.70, 4.11, or the 4.56 ratios (and though you can't order it this way, the normal Chevy 3.89 gears will fit the carriers of either the 4.11 or the 4.56 Positraction diffs). To give slightly better side-load characteristics, wider (5-1/2Kx15) rims are available for fitting 7.10 or 7.60x15 tires, racing or otherwise; the difference between the two enabling last minute "gear" swaps to be made at races.

For the guy who is really serious about his racing, a heavy-duty brake and suspension package is offered in an all or nothing deal. To get this package, you must also order the "D" engine and the Positraction differential. But what a package! Stiffer front coils give a spring rate 13-1/2% higher. The anti-roll bar is 40% stiffer. The rear springs, with an extra leaf, have a 9-1/2% higher rate. The shock absorbers, with 88% larger working area, have different valving and finally, the steering ratio is changed from 21/1 to 16.3/1 by lengthening the third arm idler.

the production version of the 2012 Lotus Evora GTE Road Car made its first official appearance in Frankfurt. Inspired by the factory’s Evora GTE racer, this high-profile, higher-performance street-legal iteration of the automaker’s current range-topping 2+2 coupe ups the scintillation quotient in a big way.
Initially created for the Asian market, response to the Evora GTE Road Car was so overwhelming that the firm decided to go global with the package. Like the concept, the volume-build Evora GTE Road Car will have its more aggressively styled bodywork rendered in full carbon fiber, feature a similarly healthy helping of composite in is competition-themed cabin appointments, receive a focused retuning of its already sporty suspension and wear superlight forged-aluminum center-lock staggered-size alloy wheels wrapped in grippy Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires: 235/35R19s up front and 275/30R20s in the rear.
The unseen changes are equally significant, starting with the GTE-spec tune of its midship-mounted 3.5-liter supercharged V6. Where the Evora S version puts out 346 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of peak torque, the Evora GTE Road Car corrals 438 ponies and makes 310 twist units. All of this gets sent to the rear wheel via a race-bred six-speed sequential automated manual transmission (AMT). That extra muscle coupled with over a 300-pound weight loss program should let this hard-core Lotus click off 0-60 mph sprints in less than four seconds.
The factory has yet to release exact pricing, production numbers, EPA figures or a U.S. on-sale date for the 2012 Lotus Evora GTE Road Car. However, the likely sticker window is rumored to be in the $160,000-$180,00 range.
