For those of you who are new here, my name is Thomas and I am a content creator from the YouTube platform. My channel (Thomas In Action) has had a lot of success when it comes to hair related content and I’m constantly testing and reviewing products to share with my audience, so if that’s something you want in your life a bit more then make sure you subscribe after reading this post. Sooooo, Joe brought out BluMaan Original Meraki quite some time ago now and I’ve only just gotten around giving it a go now #latemuch. The main reasons I never thought it would be a good product for me were: a) My hair is 13 inches long and I couldn’t see how it was going to work for me. b) BluMaan Original Meraki is a styling paste and my usual go to is a hair clay as that gives me the hold I actually need for my misbehaving hair. c) I simply wasn’t aware of the brilliant features that BluMaan had incorporated into this product. Anyway, I ended up getting curious about all his products and began doing some research of my own about them and the BluMaan Original Meraki was and interesting one indeed. The two things that got my eyebrows raising with this product were: 1. It can be used not only as a post styling product for your hair but a prestyling product as well. 2. It has a heat protectant built into the formula so you can blow dry and straighten your hair at the same time as styling it. I found these 2 things really intriguing because I straighten my hair quite a bit, so I’m always after new products that will help protect it and before straightening I use a lot of restyling products. All of a sudden I could see how this product could potentially work for me. So with that I was straight onto BluMaan’s marketing department like a rash to see if I could get my hands on it and try it out. In the end, they were happy with the idea of me doing a BluMaan Original Meraki review and hence how the video below was born. {Video Goes Here} The video isn’t exactly pitched as a BluMaan Original Meraki review, but the main thing I wanted to document was how BluMaan Original Meraki could be used from a guy with longer hair’s perspective as before doing my research I just labelled it as another styling product for guys with short hair, when that clearly wasn’t the case. The beginning of this video is probably an over exaggeration of how you should respond but funny nonetheless and I hope you enjoy it and see the humor lol. What I really wanted to convey on this topic is it’s not about how many witty comebacks you have for people who bag you out or how you’re “gunna show them”. It’s about having the awareness of being able to look at the bigger picture and really see what’s going on here. You see, when someone makes a judgement about you (not just about your awful looking awkward stage hair) it’s a reflection of how that person is viewing the world and what’s interesting is the way people see the world actually has a lot to do with the environment they’ve been brought up in. So basically. When someone makes a negative judgement about you, it means they’ve been conditioned by their surrounding world to see & think that whatever they are judging you for, is a bad thing. Which isn’t always true because if it was, no men would have long hair. SO it’s just about how you look at it. You need to remember this anytime someone says something negative about your appearance. As soon as you can see their judgments as a default mechanism of their conditioning as opposed to it being a personal attack on you or who you are as a person, you are able to separate yourself from the equation and their insults will just bounce right off. This is how you build true confidence. Lots of guys think that true confidence comes when you become the “King Pin” and get to a stage where nobody can defeat you, but it’s actually about building personal resilience and seeing things for what they really are and acting accordingly that will give you true power in the world. Takes practice and is probably a little deep compared to how this video starts off but this is my message for you here. Master this and you’ll get through the awkward stage no problem haha. In today's video I'm gonna be covering how to look expensive for cheap or look good on a budget if you will haha. I was actually going to do a video today about illusions that you can do with men's fashion to make yourself look a little bit better. But just recently I did a massive pickup of cool items, which I will show you later in this video, but the more important thing is how I get to those items because they all, I usually go for things that are really nice looking and are less expensive. If I were to describe my style right now I'm into very florally things, open button-up shirts, like this, and I'm also into that like that whole boho flowy, hipster Barren Bay look, okay. Now, not all of you are going to be into that and that doesn't matter. But this tip that I show you in this video can be used for any style because if you go into these fast-fashion websites that I go to, they've usually got what's hip and what's in right now, and they've usually got it at a decent price or they've usually got good sales on them. The real truth of this is, for what you're not gonna pay in money, you're gonna pay in time. So if you haven't got the money to get the really nice things right now, you're gonna pay for it with your time and what I'm showing you here can be quite time consuming so if you're interested in looking a bit better, but you're limited to a budget, really I would suggest using your time to do this exact thing that I'm gonna show you and if you've got a bit of extra money just buy whatever you want. I don't spend a lot of money on clothes. I'll always go for a sale and very rarely do I buy a full price item. Let's get into it. So fast-fashion: there's way more than where I shop, but the two places that I go to ever, are Zara and ASOS. And every time I visit the ASOS website or go into Zara, there's always something that I see and I go, "Oh, I need that!" Okay, but in saying that, here's my tactic. So I'll always shop around in Zara when I go into the store and I'll have a look at any sales that are on, like have a little peek, look at the price tags on things, and usually when I'm in there, it's only like, what's on sale is what's on sale when I'm in the actual store, right? So it's harder to actually get cheaper items from a fast-fashion place like Zara unless you stalk them online as well. I don't use Zara online. I actually like going into the store and doing it, but that is one way: just looking for the sales. The other way is fast-fashion websites like ASOS. They actually have, like a function on the website, where you can create an account. Step 1 is to add all my prestylers. Because we don’t have a lot of time in this video I’m going to link all my prestylers in the description box for you. Step 2 is to perform what I like to call a wild dry, this helps to activate my prestylers as well as remove excess water from my hair to reduce the amount of passes I need to perform when it comes to the styling component. Once my hair is about 80% dry I’ll add BluMaan Monarch Matte Paste into the mix to help give my hair that extra hold for the final result. After all my products are in, it’s time to whip out the dyson with the concentrator nozzle. I cannot stress it enough, using a nozzle when blow drying hair for this kind of look is imperative. because it narrowly concentrates the airflow from the dryer which closes those larger gaps in the cuticle layer to make the appearance of the hair smoother. Just to give a bit of context of what I mean by this is if I were to get a single strand of hair & hold it vertically with the root in my hand, I would blow downard with the dryer because that’s with the grain of the cuticle, If I blew upward, it would raise the gaps between the cuticles even more which would actually end up making my hair look even frizzier than normal which is what I definitely don’t want. So as I’m blowing drying I’m using my comb or round brush with my dryer in a backwards or downward motion to shut the cuticle. Once I’ve made my way around my whole head in sections, I’ll finish up the looks with a bit of oil, And wallah. That’s how I achieve my smooth blow out.
