Carry Stuff On Cars Using 1 knot- Truckers Hitch Very Simple and Super Secure.
How to carry plywood and many other things on top of your car using a truckers hitch knot
You would be surprised at how many things I have carried in and on top of my old 94 Carolla. One of the handiest tips I know to help secure items to the roof of a car is to use a simple trucker's hitch. if you use this simple knot you can tighten up a line securing a load better than any other method I know of.
The process is simple. You tie a very secure loop on one end of your line. I suggest a bowline. There are a million videos on YT on how to tie a bowline. Then pass the other end of the line over the car and bring it inside the car and pass it through the first loop. Then make a small loop in the other part of the line that did not have a loop on the end. Pass your line through that second loop and then back through your first loop and begin tightening.
Once you get the line tight pass it through the second loop again and tighten more and then through the first loop again and tighten it up as tight as you can and then secure your line by tying it off with a couple of rolling hitches or any knot you choose.
The best line to use is one that stretches the least, like polyester.
I regularly use braided polyethylene.
remember to drive slow and secure the front of the wind can get up under your load. For plywood, I add a large loop to the back of the wood by looping it over the corner edges and then bring it forward over the top of the wood and down to the front of the car. I can use a truckers hitch there to tighten the line just like I did with the lines that go across the top.
be sure to protect your paint with padding.

I started an exercise program after my heart operation 2 months ago.
I have started off easy and have been focusing on developing one specific muscle. It is not what you think. I am working on the habit muscle.
Once I develop a habit of exercising every morning I can add or change the exercises to the program to suit my goals and condition.
However, I know without first developing a strong daily habit of exercise it would not matter what equipment I used or program I embraced, I would eventually stop.
Many people live in apartments and have little space to exercise. I recommend they get a floor pad, mine has been a blessing as it takes up almost no space, is very inexpensive and quite comfortable. The worst part about it is it removes any excuse for me to not do floor exercises.
If I can turn over a new leaf and make a new start so can you. I hope you find a way to take control of your health and fitness and do all you can do.

A large part of my weekly videos are made on my kitchen countertop. One weakness of filming in my kitchen is insufficient lighting. Another in my series of DIY cardboard projects. This week I built a replica of a vintage 1950s Starburst Clock from a $10 Target clock, some contact paper, and cardboard.
I used hot glue to attach the parts. At the end of the video is a photo of the diagram showing my measurements of the clock ray. Unfortunately, my scanner would not connect to scan the diagram so I had to use a regular photo.
This project is not quick, but it is simple and the results were good considering I did not wrap the paper to the cardboard as well as I should have. I ended up using an x-acto knife as my DIY craft knife was not sharp enough.
If you guys have any cardboard DIY project suggestions let me know in the comments. I may be making an ocean liner and recording a series around the ship that may be entertaining or evidence of a need for medication, LOL

Everybody has a smoke alarm because they are proven to save lives. Very few people use water leak alarms even though they are proven to save houses and apartments. Water damage can be extraordinarily costly and leak for a long time before they are noticed. Having a few cheap water alarms in your house can give you a warning you have a leak before things get out of control.
The model water alarm that I bought is Instapark Water Leakage Detection Alarm and Sensor, Low Battery Alert.

The alarms come 3 in a box with batteries. The alarm is a very loud 130 decibels and the cord that is attached to the sensor is 44 inches long. You will need a minimum of 1/32 inches of water to activate the alarm unless you add the paper as I did in the video. Be sure to glue a weight to the sensor so it remains flat and is not accidentally tipped up for any reason.
after installing my water alarms I was trying to adjust a valve in my closet and unknowingly dislodged the drainpipe on my central air conditioner and the condensate began leaking on top of the water heater and then down into the drip pan. My alarm caught the leak. I would not have known I had a leak unless I looked in the closet for some reason or noticed the water all over the floor which by that time water could have leaked and damaged my tiles or walls. If you care about your house or apartament it is foolish not to have water alarms at this low price.

Impossible coconut pie recipe
2 cups coconut milk or regular milk
1 cup shredded coconut
3 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup Bisquick or all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons shorting or margarine or coconut oil
1/2 cup sugar
mix well and add to oiled 10 inch pie pan
This pie gave me a little bit of an upset stomach but I ate half of it in one sitting. I could not stop eating it.
bake 350 degrees 45 minutes
after cooling refrigerate and serve cold
