Hello, Jason Cain here and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind podcast and today I would like to share with you about Buddhist Beliefs of four noble truths of Buddha.
Four Noble Truths, Pali Chattari-ariya-saccani, Sanskrit Chatvari-arya-satyani, one of the fundamental doctrines of Buddhism, said to have been set forth by the Buddha, the founder of the religion, in his first sermon, which he gave after his enlightenment.
Although the term Four Noble Truths is well known in English, it is a misleading translation of the Pali term Chattari-ariya-saccani (Sanskrit: Chatvari-arya-satyani), because noble refers not to the truths themselves but to those who understand them. A more accurate rendering, therefore, might be “four truths for the noble”; they are four facts that are known to be true by those with insight into the nature of reality but that are not known to be true by ordinary beings. The Buddha stated in his first sermon that when he gained absolute and intuitive knowledge of the four truths, he achieved complete enlightenment and freedom from future rebirth.
The Four Aryan (or Noble) Truths are perhaps the most basic formulation of the Buddha’s teaching. They are expressed as follows:
• The Truth of Suffering
• The Causes of Suffering
• The End of Suffering
• The Path that Frees us from Suffering
▶️ Non-attachment or detachment as proposed in Buddhism is radically misunderstood by many. Non-attachment actually brings about the most profound sense of care, compassion, and freedom you could ever imagine. Non-attachment doesn’t mean being cold as a stone. Emotions don’t cease to exist as you learn to let go. You just relate to them differently because you understand their ephemeral nature.
▶️ When you understand the true meaning of non-attachment:
• Expectations no longer rule your life.
• Emotions arise, but you have space. You have perspective. Emotions don’t catch and torment you every time.
• You relate to the world as it is rather than to your concepts about it, which never bring lasting happiness.
• You have clarity of mind so you’re able to see through to the truth of things.
• You’re not bothered by much, but that doesn't mean you tolerate harmful behavior.
• The problems of this world evoke compassion rather than anger.
• You don’t chase after happiness. You just enjoy it when it’s present, and release it when it dissolves.
• You're able to allow life to unfold withou

The realm of spirituality is overflowing with passion and reverence, and when we look at the world through this passion, we often cannot express these feelings through normal rational and coherent structures.
We know that we have touched that which is unknowable and divine, and the words flow forth like an out pouring of life itself and distills into the essence of who we are.
Poetic expression of this passion helps us to understand these fragmented and erratic feeling, creating a rhythm that elegantly harmonizes our whole being - physical, mental, and spiritual. Speaking to us about our own deeper self, touching that which would otherwise be lost or hidden.
Helping us to feel our lives rather than be numb to the passion flowing just below the surface, and a page touched with a poem, becoming a place for exploration and transformation.
A way of seeing and naming that which we cannot understand or express rationally, as the poem leaps from the page, alive and powerful, it grips our hearts, calling to us and saying: Where are you with your life?
Hello my name is Jason Cain and Songs of a Mystic is a collection of my favorite poems, often they bubble up during meditation and I write them quickly, before they are lost.
Maybe my poems will support you to better understand your own spiritual journey and inspire you through your personal growth and transformation.

Hello, Jason Cain here and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind Podcast and today I want to share with you a slightly different perspective on our understanding of time and consciousness, an understanding of what I call The Time Syntax.
Syntax is thought of as the arrangement of words and phrases to create well-formed sentences in a language, but our concept of time is also an arrangement of cycles and phrases, and time and consciousness also has its own Syntax.
We measure time in cycles of the suns movements, hours, minutes, seconds and so on. Also time is distance and light speed. All the while assuming that it’s a fundamental construct of reality, a mathematical immutable law.

How Long Should You Meditate For? Are you uncertain about how long you should meditate?

Hello, and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind podcast and today I’m going to be answering some common questions about how much time you should spend in meditation every day and how much meditation is too much, and I’ll also indirectly address how much meditation is too little for anyone who is wondering that.
With more time on our hands than ever before, many people are trying new things these days, including meditation. When you Google meditation, though, the results you get can be not just contradictory but downright confusing.
If you’ve been practicing for a while, but are struggling, the multitude of answers you find can make you question if the reason for your struggle is that you’re not meditating for the right amount of time or too often or not often enough. Naturally, one could argue that mine is just another opinion in a sea of opinions. And while that is true to a degree, I’m also hoping that my opinion as a meditation teacher can help ease your mind a little.
There are several benefits of meditation. Some of these benefits can begin to be felt with a single five minute meditation session. Explore the world of meditation, however, and you find a lot of variety. You can find guided meditations that vary from just 1 to 3 minutes up to an hour or more.
Consistency is the key here. Ideally, I would suggest that you meditate every day. It doesn’t have to take up very much of your day.
Even if you can’t manage daily meditations, choose a schedule that you can stay consistent with and is consistency of meditating will develop the habit of meditation.
In this podcast I’m also going to address the vital question, “Can you meditate too much?” please listen to the podcast until the end to get a full understanding about these important questions. If you have any questions please drop it in the comment section.

What is a nihilistic view of knowledge? Is Nisargadatta Maharaj enlightened?
And I will also discuss why Sri Nisargadatta ideas are nihilistic and will show how Sri Nisargadatta's lack of personal power is the reason for his failure to realize enlightenment.

Hello, and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind podcast and today I am going to discuss why Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj’s ideas are nihilistic, and I will also show how Sri Nisargadatta’s lack of personal power is the reason for his failure to realize enlightenment.
And before I start this podcast I want to say that if you are a follower of Sri Nisargadatta, understand that this is not intended as a personal attack, my only intent is to save you time by pointing out philosophies or gurus that will trip you up. I respect your valuable time, your valuable awareness and my only intent is to point out the potholes in the road on your journey.
So keep an open mind and if you are feeling triggered, then pause the podcast and take a few deep breaths, and remind yourself that we all have one common enemy “which is our selves” and then listen until the end of the podcast before you pass judgment
Nisargadatta Maharaj (17 April 1897 – 8 September 1981), born Maruti Shivrampant Kambli, was an Indian guru of nondualism, belonging to the Inchagiri Sampradaya, a lineage of teachers from the Navnath Sampradaya and Lingayat Shaivism.
The publication in 1973 of I Am That, an English translation of his talks in Marathi by Maurice Frydman, brought him worldwide recognition and followers, especially from North America and Europe.
So why would I call Sri Nisargadatta a nihilistic guru, and it’s not because of his talks, although there is a nihilistic tone there, but really most philosophies have a nihilistic tone, it’s really how you interpret what is said that adds the context.
Why I say that Sri Nisargadatta was Nihilistic listen to the podcast, and let me know in the comments what you think.

Clarity is all that we hold to be good and just, all the values that society holds as true are built upon clarities manipulation, and are so ingrained, so interwoven into our moral ideals, that clarity is invisible to the sorcerer.

Hello and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind blog and today I would like to suggest 3 books that will help you learn stalking and also support your understanding of clarity from a cultural perspective.
Stalking is the best defense against clarity, and only by defeating clarity can the sorcerer learn that their frame of reference is an illusion, that our cultural dynamics was the trap.
Yet clarities most cunning maneuver is that it wins the sorcerers agreement, we willingly sign clarities social contract. Clarity manipulates our own sense of moral value, thus it is not clarity that forces itself on the sorcerer, but rather it is the sorcerer that clings to clarity.

Hello, Jason Cain here and welcome to the Ancient wisdom modern mind podcast and today I would like to guide you in a short morning meditation for gratitude.
Gratitude meditation is a type of meditation which, as the name suggests, focuses on gratitude. While some people might think of meditation along the lines of sitting in a dark room and clearing your mind, gratitude meditation can be practiced in many different settings. One might practice gratitude meditation while they are wait for their morning coffee to brew.
Finding a quiet space to sit in peace, stillness while you meditate, this meditation can easily be one of the most beneficial gifts we can give to ourselves. A regular practice can shift the way you feel, boost the energy in your body, and your entire day to day experience.
It is said that a Gratitude meditation is how some Buddhist monks and Native American elders begin their days. You might be interested in starting your day in a similar manner. So what are the benefits of gratitude meditation? Well, there is a lot of overlap between the benefits of a gratitude meditation.

This morning meditation practice for gratitude will set the foundation for a productive and positive day. We’ll start with a simple breathing practice that will help evoke feelings of gratitude. Finally, the practice will end with some mindfulness before you transition to your day.
Let’s start your day with positivity. Don’t forget to watch the video till end. If you have any question please let me know in the comments section.

We are all familiar with phrases like “time flies when you are having fun” and “a watched pot never boils” and this subjective perception of time is made all the more apparent by the various temporal illusions we experience.

This suggests that our perception of time is a subjective experience of the perceived duration of events, which can differ significantly between different individuals and/or in different circumstances, and yet paradoxically physical time appears to be more or less objective.
Our modern understanding of time is rooted in Newtonian classical mechanics, but our sense of time is a product of consciousness, this at first glance seems to suggest that time is fixed. But I am suggesting that the fixed idea of time is flawed become of the old idea that time is a Four Dimensional construct.
