Today, we take a look at possibly the oldest and most-obscure faiths we have yet studied on this channel- The Basque mythology! You'll learn about female empowerment, wolf-fighting giga-chads, lightning serpents, the composite form of all human souls, a fire-breathing bull, and much, much more!
Today we are going to be looking into the Mayan creation story based on the Popul Vuh as suggested by subscriber Robert Kirby.
A few notes for you all:
Yes, I'm aware some of you may take exception to how I pronounce "Quezalcoatl". I tried looking everywhere to try and figure out how this thing is pronounced, and of course, I got multiple different results, so I went with the easiest one to pronounce for my pasty-white, English tongue.
Also, when I said "corn" the Popul Vuh says "Maize", same difference, but I believe my audience is more familiar with "corn" hence why I rolled with it.
(More notes will be added later upon further review)

And he probably wouldn't need any provocation from God either...
Please refrain from asking questions until the end of the presentation, it'll just be easier for me to get around to answering everyone.

Merry Christmas ladies and gentlemen of the internet! As promised, this holiday season, I gift you an (admittedly abridged) character study into the lord and savior himself, Jesus Christ, and his eastern counterpart, Siddhartha Gautama- more famously known as the Buddha.
This isn't meant to be a comparison of doctrine, more-so, the more elementary characteristics of both figures as they are said to exist within their own specific religions and how both men as described by these sources are suspiciously similar to one another.

I know what I have to say may upset some people, heck, I'm upset having to talk about it, but I feel like if it isn't said aloud, it'll never get out there.

We’re back to covering Finnish mythology via the Kalevala! This time, adapting “rune 2” where all sorts of pyrotechnical shenanigans ensue, including talking animals, a fire-breathing walrus, and beer! It’s all just as nonsensical as you’d come to expect from a video on this channel!

Some footnotes:
Just like with parts 1 and 2, the primary sources I used in this video were the Kojiki and Nihongi.
It may have seemed like I was throwing a bit of shade at Tsukiyomi in this video, that’s not to say I don’t like him as a mythological figure. It’s just… he actually does nothing for the entire era of the mythos we’re going to be covering in this video. Some of the more learned amongst you may have an objection to this, but let me just tell you, whatever you’re about to say in the comments in based on a lie fabricated by early Imperial Japan, as we’ll be exploring in part three.
Don’t worry, part 3 is already recorded and undergoing editing.
I do have to make an incredibly small correction though, in this video I stated that Amaterasu was the older sister of Susanoo, however, later on in the Kojiki, Susanoo introduces himself as the elder brother of Amaterasu (and I guess subsequently Tsukiyomi?) Technically though, they are triplets and born literally seconds apart. The reason I thought Amaterasu was the eldest child of Izanagi was because in most accounts, it describes him washing out his right eye first, then the left, then the nose.
Knowing what we do now, I guess the order goes, the nose, the right eye, and then the left? It also just made more sense to me that she would be born first for Izanagi to give her jurisdiction over the sun while Tsukiyomi and Susanoo get stuck with the moon and the storms respectively.
Now, I realize that I also referred to Susanoo as a Hitorigami in this video, which may not be correct, as one of my sources describes Hitorigami as asexually produced Gods, while another states that the Gods in question must also be genderless to fit this criteria. If anyone is actually an expert in Shintoism, let me know down in the comments if this is an accurate description for Susanoo, Amaterasu and Tsukiyomi given how they came into being.
That being said, there’s really not much more to note here, as this is one of the most famous mythological stories in Shintoism, and since it takes place pretty much immediately after the Izanagi and Izanami arc, I figured I’d lump it and the next major myth (which also takes place immediately afterwards) into a three-parter. (Even though this basically means parts 2 and 3 are at the view count of Part 1’s mercy)

Today, we revisit Celtic mythology to briefly underline the Tuatha Dé Danann and their role in ancient Irish society.
(Please note: Yes, I mispronounce some things here and there. The only thing consistent about the Celtic language is how inconsistent the "proper" pronunciation is for their words. Also, the Anglicization is terrible...)
