How to Setup Netcomm NF4V on NBN FTTN Internet Connection with Exetel including unboxing
If you are transitioning from ADSL2+ to a VDSL connection using Australia's NBN FTTN (National Broadband Network Fibre to the Node), then you will most likely need a new router. You will still connect through the phone line as usual, but it's using newer technology that is capable of delivering higher speeds. The Netcomm NF4V is one of the routers that is offered by Exetel and a number of other ISP's. So here is the unboxing video along with assembly, connection to the NBN and for use with wifi devices.
My walking/travel shoes have worn out and are falling apart after a couple of years of heavy use. So I'm looking for some new ones! I usually buy the same thing on repeat, but I can't get them or anything directly similar anymore :( So much for my usual "buy the same thing over and over again so I don't have to think about it and I know I like it." So I've got to find something new that's going to work as a comfortable walking and travelling shoe.
In this video, I have gotten the Adidas Mens CourtJam Bounce Tennis Shoes to try. I'm trying them on and sharing my first impressions, This will be the first of a bunch of these videos on different shoes to try and find a good replacement walking shoe for travelling.

If you may have seen if you've been watching my channel over the last few months, you might have seen the myriad videos on different shoes. So you might know, my walking/travel shoes wore out and were falling apart after a couple of years of heavy use. So I have been looking for new ones! I usually buy the same thing on repeat, but I can't get them or anything directly similar anymore :( So much for my usual "buy the same thing over and over again, so I don't have to think about it, and I know I like it." So I've been looking to find something new that will work as a comfortable walking and travelling shoe.
I tried a lot of shoes and did settle on two different ones for two different purposes and types of trips. In this video, I go through why I picked these two, and what I've learned about them over the 4-6 months that I've had them both. So without further ado, my two favourites were the Skechers Delson 3.0 Cicada Men's Sneakers, and the On Cloud 5 Waterproof shoes.

Day 2 of our 42-day road trip around the North Island of New Zealand started off from our accommodation in Greytown, Greyfriars Motel. We headed down to Martinborough, and then made our way to Lake Ferry, Onoke Spit, and Cape Palliser Lighthouse. On the way back, we hiked up to the Putangirua Pinnacles where some scenes from Lord of the Rings were filmed, and we also found some seals and their pups along the way. Enjoy!

Should you choose genuine camera batteries for your digital camera? Or are third-party options ok?
I have previously used non-genuine batteries and now only use genuine batteries with my digital camera. In this video, I look at the reasons why I use genuine camera batteries and why you might want to as well while I unbox a Canon LP-E17 battery. Spoiler alert: there isn't much to unbox!

It's actually really easy to get to, but it's not the most obviously sign posted or accessible from the deck you might expect. So here is how to get to the bow of Voyager of the Seas and the helipad.

Don't you hate it when you pull up to a service station only to realise either you can't remember or you don't know (often the case for me in a hire car) what side of the car the fuel tank is on. So what do you do? Do you just pull up, check on it and then move if you got it wrong? Do you look in the mirrors or lean out the window to see if you can spot it on the drivers side? Or do you just pull up really close to the bowser so if you got the side wrong you can reach the hose around to the other side?
Well as wisdom would have it, car manufacturers have actually thought of this problem, and every car I've driven (including a wide array of hire cars in numerous countries) has this neat little trick that tells you where to find your fuel tank.
No more pulling up to a service station and trying to figure out, your car will tell you. Genius, or I thought so anyway when I learned of it.

This 188 hectare park is located approximately 11.5km’s from the heart of Sapporo was designed around a pyramid motif by Isamu Noguchi and has obtained the rating of #1 thing to do on TripAdvisor. The question is though, does it warrant that rating and should it be on a tourists list of places to see? We visited towards the middle of the Japanese Summer, the beginning of August.
