Part three of a 3-part series revealing the crucial role the CIA has played in manipulating the political affairs of post-war Europe through the Gladio.
In 1978 in Rome, the Italian prime minister, Aldo Moro, was kidnapped and his bodyguard was killed. The bullets found at the scene were of a type issued only to Italian Special Forces and, according to one secret agent's confession, the secret services had been warned in advance of the kidnapping. Timewatch examines the truth behind this and the subsequent assassination of Moro--who was in favour of including the Italian Communist party in a national government. This episode also reconstructs a series of unexplained and bloody killings a few years earlier in Belgium, when masked gunmen murdered people shopping in supermarkets. Some of the Gladio members responsible now talk about these seemingly pointless murders.

Does nature always know best?
Most think of nature as good, while humans and human interventions are often seen as problematic and even on occasion evil. From eradicating e-numbers from our diets to refusing vaccines, many are motivated by the idea that nature knows best.
Yet malaria is natural, the malaria vaccine is not. Crop failure, hurricanes, tsunamis - all are deadly, and all natural. Human actions are essential to extend and save lives from natural calamity.
Is our attachment to nature undermining belief in ourselves? Should we have more faith in the human and less trust in nature? Or, are we right to be sceptical of human intervention and should we see the renewed reverence for nature as a positive return to an ancient and essential belief? Then again, should we accept that we are part of the natural world, and give up on the false distinction between real and artificial, natural and unnatural?

BORN IN GAZA follows ten children telling their daily life under the bombs
during the Israeli offensive that devastated the Gaza Strip in July and
August 2014. Among them, we find Udai, who lost his house in a bombing, or
Malak, a refugee in a UN school. Sondos is in the hospital with serious
injuries in her abdomen and Mohamed has no option but collecting garbage to
make a living. The awarded director Hernán Zin shows a deep and intimate
vision about how violence twists these children's lives, putting aside any
political debate or last-minute event. A deeply human vision of the war and
its consequences with an original aesthetic look. Slow motion and time-
lapse, as well as drone and underwater shooting, make cinematography one of
the essentials of Born In Gaza. A war was barely ever shot so beautifully
and disturbing at the same time.
BORN IN GAZA comes to an end three months after the Israeli offensive, with
us returning to check up on these children dealing with the terror and
trying to have their lives back to normal. They speak up for the 538 dead
children and over 3,500 wounded left by the so called 'Operation Protective
Edge' Israeli offensive.
Nominated for best documentary at the Spanish Academy Awards 2015.

The 2009 Iranian elections, considered by many to have been fraudulent, brought the subject of democracy in the Islamic Republic to worldwide attention. It is a commonly held belief that it is impossible to establish a truly free democracy in Iran, neither now nor any time in the future. However, history teaches us that there was already one opportunity for a democratic government in that country 50 years ago, and this chance was dashed by the intervention of the American CIA. reconstructs this until-now neglected chapter in history. Combining interviews with experts and archive footage, this film delves into the considerations that lay at the root of the decision to stage a coup to remove Premier Mohammed Mossadegh, who was democratically elected in 1951. The primary justification behind the coup was that Mossadegh nationalized the oil trade, thereby excluding the British who had wielded power up until that point. The question that remains is to what extent the actions of the United States and Great Britain paved the way for the Islamification of Iran, and all the ramifications that this has entailed for human rights there.
