Today let's talk about perfection and trying to be perfect. Why do we put this external pressure on ourselves when we already know how hard it is just to live?
If you are really trying hard to be perfect -is that a good thing or a bad thing? I honestly don't know.
Perfection is one of my biggest assets---I have extremely high standards, am very hard on myself, and make no room for mistakes. Which then makes it one of my biggest flaws; since I have that "all or nothing" approach, and then when I do not achieve my goals--I consider it failing and become depressed.
So, let me ask you this-

Why Self harm yourself? Why do people self harm themselves? This is a question in the mental health realm that is individual to the person. Whether is dealing with emotions or just trying to feel something. Every person has their own reason. Non-Suicidal Self-Harm is something that most people are not aware of, they only hear depression as being linked with suicide. But there is a whole other side, there are many different types of self-harm and they are not always easy to notice. Pete talks about why people do it - It is different for every single person, it can be emotional distress, self-anger or punishment, physical pain, or just not knowing what to do or how to handle a situation.
