Unity have made some pretty terrible decisions over the past couple of years, this latest one, is equally as frustrating as the rest of their awful decisions. It's tiring. Honestly.
Please wishlist my game though, so that I can make enough money to not use the engine anymore:

I am having a lot of fun learning how to write shaders in Unity. A while ago, I was working on a city builder game, but stopped when I couldn’t figure out how to draw a grid over a selected tile. Since then, I have looked briefly at shaders but always felt like they were difficult to learn, and there were not many detailed guides that I could find to help me learn them.
The other day I came across The Book of Shaders (https://thebookofshaders.com/) and that has really inspired me to learn how to work with shaders, they teach in a well-structured way, and that has helped my confidence. I also had a look at Shadertoy (https://www.shadertoy.com/) which also helps with practicing how to work with shaders.
These resources are not directly related to Unity, but shaders appear to be shaders no matter where you’re writing them. There are some subtle differences, but for the most part it’s all the same.
I hope you enjoy this video on how to write a grid shader in Unity, I tried to keep the pace up and add animations to keep the video interesting and engaging, I would appreciate any feedback you have in the comments.

I figured out that you can debug a ray cast, dunno why I didn't think about trying to find a solution to this earlier, and there are probably thousands of videos on it out there already, but whatever, I'll just add to the llist!

I thought I would share these 5 great tips I came across when readings through the Unity eBook on increasing productivity in your workflows.
I hope you find them useful - let me know in the comments if I've missed any or if you would use these.

In this video I will be showing you how to model a stickman in blender. I jotted down the steps so that you can follow along. This is the first part in a full series that I will be making to show you how to create a third person character controller in Unity.
I also cover how you can animate a character using Mixamo (https://www.mixamo.com/#/) . You can also download the Mixamo for blender addon here: https://www.substance3d.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/Mixamo-add-on-for-Blender.zip.
I have looked at a few videos showing how to model a stickman in blender and there are some cool resources out there which I used for inspiration. I would say though that the most useful thing I learnt when modelling this stickman is how you can take advantage of linked selections in blender. I am still in the process of learning how to texture models and create great looking characters for use in the games I create - but I think learning how to model a stickman is a great start, it has helped me to understand some fundamentals of 3D modellings - and I think I am well on my way to becoming much better at creating great character models in blender.

In this #devlog I take you through the process of adding an interesting new puzzle objective to my fps game!
My fps game has been made in Unity, and we have made some really good progress. We have put a lot of systems in place which is making it much easier to rapidly prototype ideas in the fps game.
This is a shorter #devlog as I am experimenting a bit more with the idea of shorter weekly devlogs that might make it easier for me to produce content more quickly and get a better understanding of what you guys/girls want to see. So please do let me know what you think of this content in the comments down below.
This is about this 4 month mark of working on my fps game in unity and I think we have made some really good progress and have learnt a lot from the experience thus far. Thank you so much for watching!

I've been making games for many years, and I am currently working full time on indie game. I thought I would share some insights into what I would do differently If I were to go back and start make games again.

This is a devlog where we take a look at the progress I've made in the past two weeks on Rocket Launcher League. Which is basically Rocket League but as an FPS game.
After the first video, many of you suggested that I add Jetpacks to the game, so, I listened, and as usual you were right. Jetpacks make everything feel a heck of a lot better. It's way more fun to shoot at a ball when you're in the air, and you can make some really interesting plays, from difficult to find angles.
As you will see from this devlog, making a jetpack is really not that difficult in a game. It's pretty much just a modified jump, where if you hold the jump button, a constant upward force is applied to the player.
Additionally, I increased the movement speed a lot! To help you get around the field much quicker, this really helps make the game feel smoother and a lot more fun.
Thanks as always for all your feedback and support. I appreciate it more than you know!
