Compare Yourself With Better - Hump Day Easy Talk
It looks that HIVE pump inspired me for another vlog... This time the topic isn't about that, but it's something that was "born" from that event... If you are here on HIVE for more than a year, you probably remember the time when we all were a happy family on the old blockchain... Well, maybe we weren't that happy as we had that grand piano (Steemit stake and ninja mining) over our heads all the time... Anyways, we are now different blockchains and everyone is happy as it goes in its direction... Or is it like that?
When these events occur, like this HIVE pump, when the price of HIVE went over the price of STEEM, our pride comes to the surface... Don't get me wrong, pride can be a good thing, but in this example, it's very close to hurt EGO and it's pure negativity... Like I said in the first paragraph, we are separate blockchains and I don't see the reason to be compared with STEEM at all... As a matter of fact, after recent hard forks, the complete functionality is different... It's not that I'm biased (which I am), but HIVE is superior in so many ways to the old blockchain and just from that point of view, there is no reason for comparing ourselves with something worse...
This "event" was just a trigger for a deeper look inside of ourselves... We are comparing ourselves so many times in our lives, in just one day... Do we compare ourselves with better than us, or...? Is there anything positive in comparing yourself with others? Can that harm you and your personality? Can that help you?

I can't believe that I have created yesterday a post about bank savings how they are bad, and today I will deny that statement myself! It's just incredible how things can change fast... So, maybe banks aren't that bad, in the end? Or something else is rolling behind the hill?
Actually, this is more about some other financial institution and not just banks... If we think about savings from a "noob perspective", why would someone pay interest rates for your money? I think that we have to split these institutions into 2 categories... The first one would be the one that has easy reach to "freshly printed money", and they have ZERO interest in your money... They don't need it as they can create new whenever they want...
The other category is more interesting, and they have no access to printed money, so they NEED your money... They need it if they have the market to invest in and profit... If there is no market, there is no demand, and there are no interest rates...
So, with this crazy Bitcoin hype, we saw some big names entering the crypto markets buying BTC and ETH... A lot of rich people have invested a percentage of their personal wealth into crypto... But, what is even better than investing your money in crypto? Investing OTHER'S money and making the most of the profits for themselves... Well, that is happening currently and will be happening even more in the future...

Lately, I fail in these series that I have created... It's not that I forget to do them every Wednesday, but it's that I can't fulfill the second part from the title... Somehow, it's not an "easy talk", at the end of a day... lol...
I like Hive, and I have spent over 2 years on this blockchain (and the old one)... Also, I would like to point out one important thing that a lot of people forget... I point out problems that I see, and I do that because I CARE... I don't do that just to complain, or to bring negativity, or for some other reason... I do that for the best possible reason... I want to point out problems, that we can solve them and be better!
There was an interesting discussion today on Discord about Hive-Engine and problems related to them... Saying that something doesn't work isn't "bitching", that is called FEEDBACK... I have noticed that a lot of blockchain people (developers) are pissed off when they got feedback that something that they have created doesn't work... The point is to have feedback and improve your product, isn't it? It's for the good of everyone...
Errors and failures are part of the growth, and that is just normal... It's on us how will we perceive these things, and how will we proceed with the feedback that we got back... In those moments you can see the difference between the winning product (or company), and the other one that ignores their clients/users... I know that it hurts when you see that something doesn't work and you have to fix it... But, ignoring the problem will not solve it by itself...
Like every other blockchain project out there, Hive also has its good sides and bad sides, but the most important thing is to analyze things, and try to fix errors and mistakes, and proceed in the right direction... Don't fall into the same mistakes over and over again, and use our time to raise the value of the blockchain, and that will benefit all people involved in it...

Engagement-is-Inspiring-.-.-and-appreciation-is-the-reward...
We are living in crazy times, that's a fact... People are scared and living in fear, and that usually means that they are hiding in their shell waiting for something to happen... Waiting for a cure, a savior, salvation... In all that wait, I have a feeling that a lot of people just stay paralyzed, without doing anything, without interacting with anyone...
But, it's not like that on Hive... It's not like that on #decentralized platforms where people can express their feelings, and where they can receive response and support from others that are living in similar conditions...
To show you what I mean, I have created a small collage of my comments on others' posts... and not just that, but also replies from the authors... When you show appreciation to someone for his hard effort invested in the content creation, you get the same thing as a reply... Positive thinking attracts positive responses... It was always like that, and it will be always like that...
I have used comments and replies that I have made and received in the last 4-5 days... There are many more and I have probably missed a lot of other great people that have interacted with me lately...
**Don't complain that there you don't have engagement on your posts.. Create engagement by commenting on others' posts...**
In the video, you will see comments by some awesome people... If you want engagement and appreciation for your effort, you should follow them...

The advantage of having a teenage child is that you can learn a lot from/with/of them... I have already mentioned the continuous patience lessons that have been served daily (just kidding... lol... am I?...), but also, we can learn a lot because a child's view of the world is still so innocent and naive... And it's good to be reminded about that point of view...
Today, when we had lunch, my son got an idea of how he will start to work in 1.5 years (he is almost 15 years old, so he will be able to work some part-time jobs)... On one side, it's great to hear from your child that it thinks about independent life and financial consequences that it wears... Also, it shows a kind of mature and responsible attitude (maybe a bit too early, but who am I to judge), and to be honest, I liked to hear that...
But, on the other side, it was that innocent view about the future... Job at Burger King (that was the idea for the start) would give him enough money to rent an apartment, have food, etc... I got into conversation with my point of view, from my personal experience, telling him that working and studying is very hard to achieve... It's always a case that one of those two will suffer...

If-you-dont-ask-you-will-never-know
I have probably talked about this earlier, but I think that it is a too important topic to be pushed under the rug... Also, I have decided to put this vlog post into my Simple Logic Series, as the title looks so obvious, but in reality, we forget that...
We are all different, and we don't react or respond to the same thing in the same way... For example, I remember very clearly the words of my language teacher: "There are no stupid questions... There can be only stupid answers..." Yes, I remember those words like they were said yesterday, but, on the other side, I bet that 90% of my classmates don't...
Also, I remember the silence after the new lesson that we have learned... and after the teacher's words: "Are there any questions?" There were a lot of confused looks, but only 2-3 hands in the air for asking...
Don't forget that that was in my childhood, and probably in YOUR childhood also... We are now ADULTS, and we should have a lot more rights to ASK questions... Yes, we are (maybe) smarter, but that doesn't mean that we don't have anything more to learn...
So, don't forget to ask questions as knowledge is POWER... Without knowledge, you are powerless...

Living-in-the-Matrix---Hump-Day-Easy-Talk
In the beginning, I would like to apologize for the video quality... It's wintertime here in Europe, days are shorter, and I didn't have enough time to go outside before dark to record my traditional Hump Day Easy Talk, so I did it by night... For most of the video you will see a black screen as the street lights weren't good enough, but, what's important is the message and not my face... :)
I remember the time when the movie [The Matrix](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0133093) came out... It was back in 1999, I was studying at the university in those moments, and I have downloaded the movie from some torrent website (bad me... lol...)... I remember that I had to watch the movie 2-3 times to get it "completely", or I was just thinking that I got it at that time... I mean, I understood the story and everything, but I probably didn't get how deep is it, and how one day I will live inside the Matrix, too! At those moments it was a sci-fi movie, but at this moment, it looks like a documentary...
Why am I talking about it at this moment? Well, I got triggered by many things in my surroundings, but mostly by people from my close environment... When I see them jumping from one thing to another, exactly how the Matrix is telling them... There are no surprises, there are no unknown moves, everything is so well planned that people don't have a choice to do things differently... There is only ONE WAY and that way is created by someone else... You just have to follow it...
There is nothing wrong to be a follower... Indeed, we all have the choice to be one of the followers or one of the leaders... Again, if you remember the movie, Cypher couldn't live the truth anymore, so he betrayed his friends just to go back into the fake world... He knows that it's fake, but it's a sweet lie worth living in it... by YOUR choice... It was HIS CHOICE... That's another great analogy with the Bible, where the Devil is offering all the "wealth" of the world to Jesus, just to have him on his side... On the side of lies, betrayal, fake values...
You can go deeper into the message, but you can also go to the surface and see with your own eyes how fake is our world... Turn your TV and try to THINK about the words that you hear... Try to process the information on YOUR OWN... Don't just consume directly what is said on the TV... Maybe there is a hidden message in that news? What's the point of that news? How do the majority of the people REACT on that news? Is there a chance that that was the POINT of that news... to provoke exactly that reaction...
Now, you are labeling me with the "conspiracy theorist sticker", but I would say that you are close (if you aren't already) to be the same... We are blind to see 99% of things that are happening because we THINK that they aren't connected with us... that we are "spared" of that news... ONLY when it directly AFFECTS on us, then we start to think (or not)...
I will give you just one obvious example... If you are reading these lines you are probably involved in crypto as I have published this on the blockchain... You know the current state of the crypto... It's accepted in most of the countries (not regulated in many), many people are using them, saving in crypto, and many companies are invested in crypto... So, we can say that crypto is "legal" and accepted...
Now, go back just 4-5 years back in time when big companies and rich people weren't in crypto... If you were using Bitcoin, you were labeled as a criminal... If you turned on a TV you would hear dozens of times that cryptocurrency was used for paying drugs, or for paying weapons, or for funding terrorist organizations... We, crypto miners, in that time were accused of doing an illegal thing if you were mining crypto...
So, we have the same ASSET in a different timeframe... What has changed? Bitcoin is still Bitcoin... Miners are still miners... The only thing that has changed is narrative... TV is telling you the truth? When? Back then, or now, or...
**Turn off your TV and turn on your brain...** and... **Don't just go with the flow... BE the FLOW**

It was a bit hard day today, because of the mix of the reason, but I will not go into every single one... Let's say that one of the reasons was that I got into that "author crisis" where I didn't have a topic for my vlog... I didn't record a video for 2-3 days, and when you delay things, they just got worse as time is passing by...
Luckily, I was proactive earlier, and I have recorded more videos for days like I had yesterday and the day before... Days when I'm not in the "creative mood", or the weather is ugly, so I can't record, or something else... All these reasons are some great excuses for NOT create and don't take an action...
I was trying an idea in my usual way by reading others' posts here on the chain, and usually, that works, but it didn't today... Then, I have turned in my own direction and saw that I'm currently in round 600 of my regular Splinterlands giveaway that I do on my second (actually first) account here on Hive... Detect-The-Problem,-Find-The-Solution-.-.-Decentralized-Way
Occasionally, it is a good time to remind ourselves why are we here, and why are we creating our content on #decentralized social media platforms like Hive, LBRY, or some other... Yes, there is some crypto (money) involved incentives for doing that, but there are some other important differences that we should be aware of...
Getting paid for creating valuable content for contributing to the community is a great thing to have, and results are visible almost instantly... On decentralized blockchains we can be rewarded for creating posts, videos, commenting on other's content, playing games, etc... All that is great and awesome, but still, I would count these incentives in a short-term vision... The long-term vision will be looking at all as building YOUR online profile (business, personal) for the future...
And I have written YOUR with capital letters as it is important to emphasize that, for the first time, it is YOUR profile indeed! You are the owner of your blog, of your content, that you have created, of your opinions, videos, photos, art... You name it... And not just that, for the first time, you are in control of YOUR OWN money, in our case cryptocurrency... Nobody else than YOU, knows your credentials for your wallet, for your online data...
While I'm writing these sentences, I'm getting confirmation about how big is the power of the blockchain, and I am aware of why it was (and as) important for big companies to stop this thing... Blockchain technology is another tool that we can use in different ways, and one of the most important ways for us is to help us to get back our POWER... And it can do that, but we have to do our part of the job...
In today's world, our #freedom and #freespeech is limited, which is a direct result of our loss of power... We have given our power to others, and that's why you don't have the right to say whatever you want... that's why your voice can't be heard too far... And that's why THEIR voice is much louder...
Blockchains like Hive or LBRY fixes this by taking power back from big companies to the ordinary people, giving them the right of #freespeech, right to be financially independent, right to CHOOSE what is the best for them as individuals...
