'Catch Your Eyes' tells the story of a single encounter in the dressing room of an up-and-coming singer in the old days of American show business. The unnamed singer is covering up bruises and cuts when a fast-talking reporter barges in to do an interview, which at first glance is innocent enough—something you might find in some fashion magazine. But the reporter's true intention is to dig for dirt and he tries to get at the story behind the singer's bruises. But the young starlet is strong, and the result is a battle of wits and appearances, of truths and untruths—of shadow and light. The singer wins in the end, as when she dons her dress and make-up, she transforms in front of the reporter from a fragile creature to an untouchable star.
