Here's the moment you wanted--plus some bonus thoughts about hotdogs.
In which JF and JB discuss why homesteading surges after economic shocks and the different forms post-Corona homesteading could take. Apologies for some echo in the audio.

In which JF undertakes to eat nothing but parched corn for 72 hours. Parched corn (lightly toasted kernels) have a somewhat legendary status: Native Americans used it as trail food, as did trappers and mountaineers. Here, we put its reputation to the test: what happens when you use it as your sole food source for three days? Warning: is almost certainly unsuitable as a long term diet. No animals and relatively few plants were harmed in the making of this video. Any resemblance to trappers or mountaineers real or fictional is entirely coincidental.

No, really. In which AB tries her hand at adulterating pie crust with sawdust, sneaky-like. There are numerous historical accounts of bakeries and inns using sawdust as a food additive in order to save money on flour. Our question is how hard can it be to notice something is off?

Lawns could serve many purposes: feeding cows or sheep, serving as a sports field, or carpeting a picnic area. But do most lawns actually get used for anything useful? What good are they really?

Many people sell the idea of a college education purely as a way to move up in the world. Get credentials, get more money. But is that all there is to it?
Many thanks to Professor Steele for giving us this interview.
This idea was taken from "Small is Beautiful" by E.F. Schumacher.
