So Damn Hot by Abraham Cloud
Something about a Stand-Up Bass on a hot city street. It tells a story. The hot summer city streets are jazz come to life . A cacophony of sounds, and moves , sweats and desires. Human emotion boiling over. The dreams and visions cast against the crush of survival and the dangerous jungle of hungry tigers. And somehow in the middle of this murly soup people find each other and transcend the brutal environs to create their own kind of peace.
I have lived in an apartment that gets very hot in summer for quite a while. I used to following the rhythem of nature and getting outside whenever it gets a little too hot. The walled air conditioner can't compete with the summer sun beating down from the West, I find it hard to run an air conditioner. So noisey and so artificial. It is unberably hot but you can always go outside, And you should go outside. Thats where the party is. Millions of citizens pushed out of their boxes and onto the street to cool down a bit.

There's definitely been way too many sad love songs written on this planet, but when I found this one in an old shoe box ,I knew it deserved to breathe some fresh air. I digitally reconstructed the original performance and addend some strings and bass. When it cam time for a video.... images only seemed to get in the way. I think the song speaks to that incomplete part in everyone's lives. That beautiful dream, romance or scheme that seemed to be the answer at the time.

Right off of the classic CD "Another Successful Breakfast" here's the "ode to the auto-mo."
It is one of those blessings we hardly think about in LA, but how wonderful it is to actually have a car. And who better than Abraham Cloud to brag about it. It sounds 80's and it sounds Car's-ish but it also sounds Folky and Psychedelic and yes even therapeutic (especially on headphones.)

Perhaps Lou Reed's younger brother wrote this. Or maybe Lou himself. Odd juxtaposition of "Walk on the Wild side" and "Two Turntables and A Microphone. Both Beck and Lou Reed comparisons seem to fit Abraham Cloud, but there is something even much cooler at work here . Its as if some Aliens who crashed on Earth saw some old Roxy Music Videos and set out to form a tribute band but were constantly and uncontrollably high on Oxygen, having nothing like that on their home planet. It's on the "Cruelty of Gravity " collection along with some other twisted little masterpieces. Enter at your own risk.
"Say It Like You Said It," could be a huge hit for some modern artist. The song is definitely there for prettier people to rape and pillage.

There seems to be a lot going on beyond our little world. Huge experiments in quantum physics seem to be proving a multi-dimensional model of reality. Psychics and Mystics have talked of these "visitations" since the beginning of time. Everything from alien sightings to religious visions could be explained by beings that co-exist with us and somehow pass into our dimension to pass a message or maybe just by accident.
This video is about my visitation. It happened quite unexpectedly on a very average day but it was just a little too weird. It really got me thinking. Who knows how much is around us that we can't perceive .
Imagine how frustrating it would be for a dead parent or relative to be close enough to see their loved ones making some huge mistakes but unable to warn them .
Time , mater , energy it's all a mystery. To be open is to live in amazement.
