6 months on, STILL SO GREATLY MISSED
‘The main thing is to win the war,’ said Olga Kachura, codenamed ‘Corsa’, a rocket artillery battalion commander in the DPR.

She used to be an officer in the regular Ukrainian military, but the government’s actions left Olga with no way to honour her oath.

She joined the militia to defend her home and became the only woman to serve as a senior commander.

Tragically, ‘Corsa’ died under Ukrainian shelling in August, 2022.

Olga Kachura was posthumously awarded Hero of the Russian Federation, the country's highest honorary title.

On the Defender of the Fatherland Day in Russia, listen to the brave woman in an excerpt from our documentary **Feminine Front**.
