Jesus spent a lot of time telling his servants that the least among us would be the greatest. He also focused on his servants not using titles such as Rabbi (Teacher), Master or father. And yet in today's modern Church nearly everyone in positions of power and/or authority walk around calling themselves Pastors, Deacons, Elders, Apostles, Prophets, Armor Bearers, etc. and etc. Let's take a deep dive into what Jesus had to say about humility in this regard and come to the conclusion that we should not assume titles for ourselves nor allow others to assign them to us. Indeed, let's stop following anyone who maintains these titles and honorifics and instead follow Jesus and Him alone as the One True Shepherd of the Sheep.
