Though widely dismissed by Mustang enthusiasts as a tarted up Pinto (of which it shared only 10% parts commonality), the Ford Mustang II was a huge hit with economy minded consumers and won numerous press accolades. This is a kind of video brochure featuring scanned factory literature and period pop culture references. The success of the Mustang II helped secure the original pony car's future. It is a fact that Ford nearly killed off the Mustang. The Mustang II might not be everyone's favorite of the breed, but it truly saved Mustang from extinction. I've scanned and polished up most of the original brochures to produce this video tribute.
