Hanqavan Hot Springs Definitely the most popular hot spring in Armenia is the one in Hanqavan, which has the most valuable therapeutic properties. The thermal spring is located at an altitude of 1900 m above sea level, in Kotayk region, 30 km from Tsakhkadzor (resort town). It belongs to the hydro-chloride sodium type of water. The temperature is about 42C. 3 pools are built, each of them can accommodate 5 people.
