BRender -- Blazing Render Game Engine Open Sourced
BRender, or Blazing Render, is the game engine behind 90s games such as Carmageddon as well as Microsoft's 3D Movie Maker created by Argonaut Games. It was just open sourced under the MIT open source license.
A fair question... why should I use the Godot Game Engine instead of Unreal Engine or Unity? There are plenty of reasons to use each game engine (and plenty of reasons not to!).
In this videos, we look at about half a dozen ways that Godot is "better" than it's peers. Reasons why you might wish to choose it over it's much older and bigger competitors.
If there is interest, I can do similar videos about Unreal Engine and Unity in the future, as well as videos on why you SHOULDN'T use a game engine. Let me know if you're interested in such videos.

Today we look at the free, Windows only application Polybrush, a very unique application in the 3D world. Using a drawing plan, custom brushes, advanced symetry tools, lathing tools and more, it enables you to rapidly sketch in 3D. You can even sculpt surfaces using custom brushes.
I do a poor job illustrating it, but it is certainly a program you should check it. The unqiue workflow allows you to sketch out concepts rapidly while the end results can be exported in Obj format and used in most 3D applications.
It can be downloaded at http://polybrush.org/

Looking to move your Unity project, or a bunch of assets you purchased for Unity over to Unreal Engine? If so, the Utu Plugin may be exactly what you are looking for. It's not perfect, it doesn't translate code, it doesn't handle everything (like terrain or sadly currently animations), but what it does do is bring across your scene in a game ready format in just minutes. You will still have to do some cleanup but this will save a huge amount of time for game developers looking to move from Unity to Unreal Engine.
And if we ask loud enough, maybe just maybe he will make an Godot version too?
