These 4 ships were only made available as prizes in the alliance tournament, they cost billions of isk - thousands of real dollars. I Set myself the challenge of describing these wonderful creations in the time it takes a sieged Moros to lock and destroy them. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj85pO1CRa0
The Nuclear Salt Water Rocket is a rocket engine concept that uses a rapid nuclear reaction in a Uranium salt dissolved in water to create a high thrust, high efficiency engine which eclipses the performance of any rocket engine ever designed. It's a concept originally presented by Robert Zubrin, which is appealing because it looks more scientifically plausable than many other futuristic propulsion concepts.
It's also scary on so many levels, using a propellent that has to be stabilized by specially designed tanks, and relies on managing a small nuclear explosion with power outputs of hundreds of gigawatts.

Sure they could, but it would require vastly more work.
A Super Earth is a class of small terrestrial exoplanet which is 25%-100% larger in diameter than Earth. Many of these have been discovered and some are in the habitable zone of their parent starts. Which lead people to ask whether a civilization developing on these worlds might be trapped and unable to develop a space program
Using Universe Sandbox I show a few example Super Earths and then, in Kerbal Space Program we fly a massive rocket that can just escape.

NASA investigated controlling rockets by having astronauts leaning and adjusting the center of mass. They built a simulator for this and built the predecessor to the balance board used by Wii Fit and other games. With Kerbal Space Program confirmed for the Wii-U, Xbox One and PS4 I thought it was time to try flying a rocket this way.

With our kerbals on the way to Duna they have also become the first kerbals to enter interplanetary space and as such we are rewarded with science! Just enough science to unlock the new RAPIER engine and attempt to design a spaceplane capable to taking a small payload into orbit and returning to base.

Designing something that looks and flies like the Space Shuttle is very hard given the stock parts in KSP, many people make the mistake of not aligning engines through the center of mass, and not accommodating the change in location of the center of mass as fuel is burned. The real space shuttle used engines with a 20 degree gimbal range to account for this, and there are mods that support this. I'll take a look at the existing shuttle mods in another video.

By sheer coincidence a number of long incubating space projects have launched in July - Unity, New Shepard, Nauka and Starliner's second demo mission expected to round out the month. It's great to see all these fly, but I have one favourite....
One thing that didn't show any sign of slowing down was SpaceX's booster test in Boca Chica, clearly the experience of failures with Starship testing has at least solidified their testing, welding and ground procedures.

After the previous disappointment we run a mission to satisfy the lawyers, who wrote the recovery contract, and then we look towards greater things. The Moon has hung in our sky for as long as civilization has existed, a plan it hatched to get a spacecraft closer to this object using the limited technology available to our engineers.

There are a lot of parts that are used to help steer your rockets in Kerbal Space Program, this is a short tutorial that goes over them and explains the important things to know about all of them - this is aimed at newer players.
This refers to an older version of the game, many things have changed.
