Although Congressional candidate Jerrod Sessler's wife, Nikki, usually shies away from the limelight, her concern for the welfare of children has compelled her to stand in solidarity with concerned parents of public school kids. Recently, she spoke out at a local school board meeting encouraging parents to stand up and have a say in their kids' education and health decisions. The very next day, the Tri-city Herald attacked Nikki in an article because she mentioned Jerrod and their united fight for the rights of parents. Although it is not surprising that of all things that other candidates and politicians in our state are involved in, the media would choose to pick on a mom standing in defense of kids, Jerrod Sessler was quick to respond in defense of his wife. Nikki Sessler will not be silenced. Neither will any of the Mama and Papa bears who stand for the rights of parents and the protection of the health and innocence of our greatest American treasure-- our children.
