Let It Go - Frozen - 273.150 notes - Christmas Special - Black MIDI This video was recorded, edited and rendered in 1080p resolution, then upscaled to 1440p for less compression. Here you have another MIDI from me in 2020, and of course my last one for this year. I started working on this one from June, because I was very sure that I would take ages to finish it and as it turned out, on December 1st I was only halfway done. That's also why some parts towards the end are a bit rushed. But aside from this I am pretty happy with how this MIDI turned out. I know what some of you may say about the song choice, but most other Christmas-themed songs were already blacked (and some of them multiple times) while the only other Black MIDI of this song I know is Z-Doc's (also known as Myhrazayn Mafia). So yeah after 5 minutes of searching I decided to black this LOL. As for the video, this time it was not as frustrating as some other times, judging from the fact that I only got one render wrong. I used the same project as Dark Pegasus and just tweaked the colours and some other settings (so it looks better on only 128 keys). The audio, though, was a real hassle to make. Unlike on my last video with Dark Pegasus in which I recorded the audio with Domino and Audacity, this time Keppy's Synth didn't want to cooperate as well. This MIDI has a bigger density of notes than Dark Pegasus so it struggled to play it without cracks on higher voice limits. It took me about 2 days of retrying and coming up with ideas to completely give up on real-time audio and switch to rendered. So basically I used a new technique which gave me exactly the clean audio I was looking for. So overall I would say that I am happy with this video too. Sidenote: the note count is exactly 273.150 which is where water freezes (in Kelvin degrees). This MIDI is also my 500 subscriber special. Merry Christmas to everyone and thanks for your support!
